These fish can weigh from 2 lbs up to 20lbs and as many as 18,000 have migrated up the Ganaraska in the past. They have a life expectancy of 8-10 years and are able to spawn annually once they are mature. Rainbow Trout generally spawn 4-6 times within their lifetime. The fish can weigh from 2 lbs up to 40 lbs and have a natural life span of approximately 2-5 years. The populations of Chinook and Coho Salmon are sustained through natural reproduction (no hatchery salmon are present). For both species of salmon, once they spawn, they naturally die.
