A PRESTIGIOUS INSTITUTION
Science Po Strasbourg is a highly selective department within the University of Strasbourg.
Students undertake a challenging course of study in the fields of economics, history,
languages law, political science and sociology. Lecture courses, seminars and discussion
groups provide students with a broad-based cultural background as well as the tools for
analysis and understanding of key contemporary issues in France and in the world.
Science Po Strasbourg has an enrollment of about 1500 students, with approximately 400
international students from all over the world. International students take their classes
with French students making course selection according to their areas of specialisation.
The Student Union and various student organisations offer a wealth of activites such as
inter-mural sport teams, the arts debate, community service, student newspaper, etc.

FRENCH LANGUAGE COURSE
We offer a week French language class to exchange
students. There is no year-long class.
ORIENTATION
The induction period serves as an orientation period.
Two formal orientation meetings are held: one on Sept
11 serves administrative purposes; a second one on
Sept 19 is for academics.
INTERNSHIPS
Each year some students find internships
parliamentary assistants to MEPs in Strasbourg.

No visa is required from European Union students.

We send letters of acceptation.
RESIDENCE PERMIT
If you are from a European Economic Area country,
Switzerland, Andorra or Monaco, you are exempt
from the residence permit obligation (Bulgarian and
Romanian nationals need a residence permit to work).
According to your country of residence and/or your
length of stay in France, you may need to apply for
residency either with OFII or with the Prefecture
services. The international office can assist students in
this matter.

HEALTH INSURANCE
Non EU students must pay student health insurance
which amounts to 211 Euros for the full academic year.
Incoming students must have health insurance from
their home University valid until 1st October (for the
1st semester), until 1st February (for the 2nd semester).
