Pierfrancesco Diliberto [Pif]: starring Christiana Capotondi, Pif, Alex Bisconti 90 mins Pif, the stage-name of Pierfrancesco Diliberto, is famous in Italy as a TV personality (a sort of a cross between Kerry O’Brien and Shaun Micaleff). His first film, set in Palermo, where Pif himself was born, it is a powerful attack on the villainous Mafia and its political allies and at the same time a funny and heartwarming romantic comedy. Spike Jonez: starring Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams, Scarlett Johansson 126 mins Do you have an iPhone? Do you talk to Siri? Set in a very recognisable near-future, HER shows us where the world is going maybe. But is this a film about technology? Or is it a film about the nature of love?
