Race Day fee increase of an additional $10/race will apply. FEE SCHEDULE & REGISTRATION INFORMATION June 18-28, 2015 Races (if registered before noon CDT 6/17/15) • Entry Fees: PRO MEN & WOMEN: $50 – plus tax and $3 daily USA Cycling surcharge. • ALL OTHER CATEGORIES (except Juniors): $40 – plus $3 daily USA Cycling surcharge • JUNIORS: $25 – plus tax and $3 daily USA Cycling surcharge Above pricing is for advance online registration. After noon CDT on June 17, 2015, advance registration is closed, and an additional on-site race day fee of $10/race will be added to each entry fee. • ENTRY DISCOUNTS: • There will be a $10 discount for the second race entered on same day. Discount reflected in checkout total. • 20% Series Discount, if you register for all days of ToAD before May 15, 2015; please see www.USACYCLING.com for fee structure • REGISTRATION (Two Options) 1) Advance ONLINE at www.USACycling.com thru noon June 17, 2015; OR 2) ON‐SITE (additional fee of $10/day) opens two hours prior to first race of the day and closes 30 minutes prior to race of interest (or until that race field maxes out – whichever comes first). On-site registration will be available, June 18 - 28, 2015, beginning two hours prior to the start of the day’s first race. Look for the Registration flag near the Tour of America’s Dairyland trailer. • NO WAIT LISTS: Once Category fields are maxed out for a respective ToAD venue race, that Category race is closed, and no additional registrations will be accepted. THERE WILL BE NO DAY-OF WAIT LISTS. For avoidance of doubt, if a registered race field has maxed out, and you are not registered, you will not race. • VALID LICENSE - Racers must provide valid license from USA Cycling or other National Federation affiliated with UCI, and sign a waiver DAILY, 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE START OF YOUR RACE! • JUNIORS – All Juniors must have waivers signed by parent or guardian prior to racing. • RAIN OR SHINE! 4 Produced by Midwest Cycling Series, LLC Official Tech Guide 2015 Tour of America’s Dairyland presented by Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board LICENSING All race participants must have a valid USA Cycling racing license and will be required to race in the Category listed on that license. One-day licenses and annual USAC licenses will be available for purchase daily at ToAD events but in the interest of saving time, you are encouraged to please purchase your license prior to the event. All license purchase information and rates can be found at www.usacycling.org. USAC rules will govern all races. RACE CATEGORIES All Tour of America's Dairyland races will include multiple categories. A full list of Categories is listed below. Licensed USAC officials will be responsible for all start/finishes, rulings, and determining end results and scoring. For further explanation of race rules and regulations, please go to www.usacycling.org. R EGISTRATION & R EFUND /T RANSFER P OLICIES • No credits or refunds will be given for rain or weather conditions beyond the control of Midwest Cycling Series, LLC. • No refunds or credits due to rider accident or mishap. • No transfer of registration fees to other teammates or friends. • You may transfer your rider registration fee to another race day but no refunds. • No refunds or credits to a rider who misses a race. Littering may be grounds for disqualification. 6 Produced by Midwest Cycling Series, LLC Official Tech Guide 2015 Tour of America’s Dairyland presented by Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board RACE TYPES Criterium Race A Criterium or Crit race will be held on a short course consisting of racers riding laps (ranging from approximately 0.6 mile - 1.2 mile) until the specified time limit or total distance is reached. The first rider across the finish line on the finishing lap (without being lapped by the field) will be declared the winner. In case of the Tour of America's Dairyland all crit races will be run on a time limit. i.e. 60 minutes. 1. There will be no hand-ups, or feeding during a crit race. 2. Free laps - for legitimate mechanical reasons approved by the race officials, free laps will be awarded during the race up to a certain time limit. All free lap rules are subject to the discretion of the presiding officials. Road Race A Road Race or circuit race will be held on a longer open road course varying in length. Race could consist of one lap of a larger distance or multiple laps of a smaller distance. The first rider across the finish line will be determined the winner. All of the road races in the Tour of America's Dairyland will be run on a distance limit. 1. Feeding may be allowed at a determined part of the course. 2. No free laps will be awarded. If a rider has a mechanical issue, it can be fixed on course during the race. 3. GPS: South St. & Church St. East Troy, WI 53120 Racer Parking: Chester Byrnes Parking Lot, 2043 Division St. http://tourofamericasdairyland.com/schedule/troy-events.php 9 Produced by Midwest Cycling Series, LLC Official Tech Guide 2015 Tour of America’s Dairyland presented by Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board DAY 3: JUNE 20, 2015 GIRO D’ GRAFTON P/B AURORA HEALTH CARE, MEIJER & CELEBRATE GRAFTON Course Map: Course Description: With a slight revision for 2015, this 0.85 mile criterium in downtown Grafton will still have its screaming spectator-lined Start/Finish area at the intersection of Beech St and Wisconsin Ave. The NEW COURSE now features only four fast turns with a longer uphill coming out of turn two, but then following a slow decline in elevation right on through the finish. The new sweeping turn three should be carried almost at full speed! The finishing stretch is long and flat leading into a great final, down-to-the-tire sprint! . The turns vary from sharp to sweeping. Entire course takes place in the dense urban heart of Waukesha giving the racers a high energy feel. GPS: 379 W Main St, Waukesha, WI 53186 Racer Parking: Teams with large vehicles and tents, please park at either the Waukesha Public Library (321 Wisconsin Ave.) or across the street at the Les Paul Middle School (400 N. Grand Ave.), near backside of Cutler Park). Easy in and out access, with a short bike ride to Reg. Public parking available for smaller vehicles. http://tourofamericasdairyland.com/schedule/waukesha-events.php 11 Produced by Midwest Cycling Series, LLC Official Tech Guide 2015 Tour of America’s Dairyland presented by Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board D AY 5: J UNE 22, 2015 MILWAUKEE MILE CIRCUIT RACE AT STATE FAIR PARK Course Map: Course Description: Located at State Fair Park in West Allis, this course is a 1.9 counter-clockwise, asphaltpaved circuitous infield loop of the Milwaukee Mile, the oldest operating motor speedway in the world. GPS: Located on the grounds of the Wisconsin State Fair in West Allis, WI – Gate 5 on 84th Street Racer Parking: WARNING: LOW BRIDGE CLEARANCE! Racers with large trailers or bikes atop vehicles must follow service road to enter on the east side of the track. Small vehicles may enter thru Gate 5 on 84th St. Infield access and exit will be granted periodically before 8:30AM and after 4:00PM. THERE IS ALSO STREET PARKING. Observe street signs, and ride your bike to course. From the start, the first half of the course is up hill with a steep section consisting of a city block. The second half is down hill through four technical turns before dumping out into a flat 250 meter sprint. GPS: N7390 State Road 67 Plymouth, WI 53073 Racer Parking: Enter thru Gate 6. Then turn left, and follow service road to Lot 3 to park. Racers will then enter and exit the race course on bikes via the tunnel. Just blocks from downtown Neenah, this flat, fast 4-corner criterium is nearly three-quarters of a mile. GPS: Elm and Division, Neenah, WI 54956 Racer Parking: Street Parking surrounding Shattuck Middle School. DO NOT PARK AT ST. This course could provide one of the biggest spectator crowds in Wisconsin's bike racing history! GPS: 2608 N Downer Ave, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53211 Parking: Park on city streets surrounding the race course. Please respect and do not park in smaller lots designated for the local businesses as they wish to reserve this parking for their customers. This seven-tenths of a mile rectangular Crit features a long gradual hill from turn four up to the finish line. Through East Tosa's popular business district and awesome neighborhoods you will go! GPS: N 68th St and W North Ave, Wauwatosa, WI 53213 Parking: Park on city streets surrounding the race course. Please respect and do not park in smaller lots designated for the local businesses as they wish to reserve this parking for their customers. Points will be awarded to the finishers of each race according to the points structure explained in the table below. Racers will then be ranked based on the overall amount of points earned at the end of the race series and will be awarded prizes accordingly. Daily, results will be posted in close proximity to Stage except Milwaukee Mile and Road America races, where they will be posted on Reg trailer. Tiebreakers for Individual Category Omniums as well as Team Omniums will be determined: • By the most 1st Place finishes followed by the most 2nd Place finishes followed by the most 3 3rd Place finishes, etc., and if still tied the last race or most recent race in which one or more of the riders placed. If still tied, most race entered. No double points will be awarded on any day. Please take a cool-down lap, and report to the stage. Riders should appear for the Podium in their team kit: team jersey, team shorts, no helmet (rider may wear hat only if it is team gear or bears the logo of a team or ToAD sponsor) If a rider is currently in the Overall leader jersey, the rider should remove the Leader jersey after each race, and replace it with a team jersey for the Podium ceremony Daily winner jersey may not be worn in a later race or for a later podium ceremony. All participants of any race are eligible for the individual daily purse for the races they attend and will also automatically earn points and be eligible for the overall points series prizes and awards. All daily prizes and awards will be distributed immediately following each race after the officials have declared the results final. The prizes for the overall points series will be distributed on the final day of the series after the officials have declared them final. For a detailed description of the awards and prizes please see below and subsequent pages. RACERS WHO WIN A CUMULATIVE $600 OR MORE DURING THE TOUR OF AMERICA'S DAIRYLAND WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE AN IRS 1099 FORM ON-SITE BEFORE RECEIVING PAYMENTS EXCEEDING $600. Cash, Medals, Trophies Depending on the category, cash, medals, and trophies will be awarded based on the tables in the following pages.
