The Braden Scale is a summated scale made up of 6 subscales scored 4-3-2-1 that ranges
from 6-23. A lower Braden Score indicates a lower level of functioning and therefore a
higher level of risk for pressure ulcer development. A score of 19 or higher would indicate
that the patient is at low risk, with no need for treatment at the mean time.

Riser recliner chairs
These chairs have a capacity above 190 kg. These chairs offer a variety of positions as they
have at least two motors, one for the leg rest and one for the backrest. This ensures the
backrest and leg rest can be operated independently of each other.
Electrically operated lift recliner chairs are a type of recliner chair that allows a person to
control the entire chair electronically, including the backrest and footrest as well as the lift
function. An electric powered lift and recliner chair (also known as a rise and recline chair)
will provide increased safety, ease of use and superior comfort compared to a standard
recliner chair.
There are three main types of lift & recliner chairs:
Two (2) Position Lift Recline Chair:
These lift chairs are only able to recline to approximately 45°. They are ideal for watching TV
or relaxing.
Three (3) Position Lift Recliner Chairs:
This is the most common type of lift chair. The 3 position recliner lift chair will recline to an
almost horizontal position, and the footrest moves 'in sync' with the backrest. These chairs

Infinite Position Lift Recline Chair: The infinite position lifter recliner has fully independent
