ART STUDENTS “DID THE PUYALLUP”
27 of our artists had their
work accepted at the Junior/
Senior High School Art Show last
May. Over the summer, judges
were busy judging and hanging
art and when the fair gates
were opened, our North Tapps
artist dominated! 19 artists
were awarded ribbons for their
work and one talented artist
earned a Best of Show ribbon.
In addition to the ribbons
awarded one artist had a popular gaming company inquire
about her blockprint with the
hopes of purchasing it.
The following won blue ribbons: Alyssa Hill, Maddie John-
son-Walker, Petra Martinez,
Amaia Nguyen, Ellie Steadmon
and Makenna Taylor. Red
ribbons were given to Sydni
LaRoche, Skylar Salazar and
Emily Paris. Honorable Mention ribbons went
to Annaliza Ridao,
Jenna
Beddow,
Violet
Duncan,
Griffin
McLeod,
Makena
Munro,
Jack Stanton, Jadyn
Turner and Brittany Wilson. A 3rd
place ribbon was
awarded to Logan
Sherwin. Finally, a
Best
of
Show
ribbon went to Amaia Nguyen.
Congratulations to all. This year
tops all others in awards. North
Tapps can be very proud of our
artists. Entries are displayed in the
main showcase at North Tapps.

Yearbooks Deadline
We have a fantastic school year
ahead of us. As we anticipate
the memories, friendships and
special events ahead, we’re also
looking forward to one of our
favorite traditions—the yearbook. Our sale is in full swing
now, but ends on October 30th.
That will be our final number of
books we plan on ordering. Reserve your copy now! There
LATE FALL SPORTS

2:20 until 4:00 pm, unless noted
otherwise by the coach. The
activity bus will run on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

EMERGENCY
NOTIFICATIONS
Dieringer School District has two
systems that are used as part of
the emergency notification system: Flash Alert and intouchk12.
FlashAlert (formerly SchoolReport) is the system that goes out
to the TV and radio stations in
the area. That system also allows you to subscribe to the notifications; when an emergency
is posted, you receive an email
with the information such as the
following:
may be a few overrun copies
available in June, but that varies from year to year. Don’t
miss out; $30.00 ensures that
a copy will be reserved. Drop
off checks (along with the
yearbook signing agreement)
in the office. Remember….
Friday, October 30th is the
deadline.
Dieringer SD: 2 Hours Late, No
AM preschool. NTMS on ACE
schedule; elementary schools 2
hrs late.
I would highly recommend, if
you have not already, that you
sign up for notification by following the attached link to create an account:
http://flashalert.net/
regions.html
The other notification is
through intouchk12. This system phones and emails messages by pulling from the district
directory for staff and students
(cell phone, landline, email). Do
make sure you keep this information current by reporting any
changes to Julie Hannula. When
a message is sent out “general”,
it goes to the first contact listed;
when “emergency” is selected,
the message is sent to every
listed contact device. Obviously,
if you were without power, your
landline will be unreachable, but
your cell phone or email should
be contacted.
