Joe Istre Special Investigations Division-Intelligence Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Department 725 Maple Street Harvey, LA 70058 Dear Joe: We got home safely yesterday. It was good to see the mountains, and First Class was the place to ride on the plane. We're still not sure why we were there, but it wouldn't surprise me if you had something to do with it. I have written Sheriff Lee and Deputy Chief Fields to tell them how much we appreciated your help and attitude. You truly made our trip unforgettable, and I have never been treated so well. I'm sorry we messed with your schedule so much, but it was sure good to have your insight and presence with us. It was also good to meet Michele. I hope that you come to visit us, so we can show you the mountains. One of my Captains who has a quarter horse set up and does roping, is coming to New Orleans for a visit, and I'm going to put him in touch with you. I hope you don't mind, and I thought you might want another horse contact. When I told him about you, he told me to tell you to come on up--that he would like to take you riding in the mountains. Anyway, my friend, please let me know if there's anything I can do for you. You guys have a lot to be proud of, and it showed. Also, please tell Keith thanks for all he did.
