Kollaboration is an organization and movement that provides a
platform for Asian American artists pursuing their dreams in arts and entertainment,
and seeks to create a paradigm shift in media diversity.
Kollaboration empowers more than just aspiring artists. We
also develop, connect, and partner with some of the API community’s brightest
and most passionate leaders.
Over 16 years, Kollaboration has expanded
beyond talent competitions to become
a national organization fostering leadership,
community initiatives and a strong API voice.

EMPOWER
Kollaboration’s flagship program
focuses on discovering up and coming
API artists through our annual city
talent competitions which highlight
performing artists in music, singing,
dance, comedy, spoken word, and more.
Kollaboration’s first annual
leadership conference. This
conference will gather leading API
professionals in arts, media, &
tech to inspire and educate
tomorrow’s leaders.
MEDIA
COMMUNITY
Kollaboration media produces
exciting content focused on
engaging the Asian American
millennial demographic while
expanding the Kollaboration mission
to discover and showcase API talent.
Kollaboration teams are hubs for
Asian American pop culture in their
local communities, actively discovering,
showcasing, and elevating home grown
talent and leaders while supporting the
API community at large.

With the development of the new
programs within Kollaboration,
all live showcases fall into our
Star program, which focuses on
discovering & elevating API artists.

Empowerment Through Entertainment
City showcases
Kollaboration City Teams are on the ground in
their communities, building platforms to cultivate
their local talent. The culmination of their efforts
is the annual city showcase and competition, held
between the spring and summer of each year.
Kollaboration Star
Each season concludes with a grand finale
competition in Los Angeles called Kollaboration
Star. Prominent Asian American artists and
community partners come out to support the cause
and celebrate our massively growing presence
and impact. Kollaboration Star also serves as
the national finals for the Kollaboration talent
competition, where the national Kollaboration
champion is crowned.

Kollaboration provides opportunities for aspiring artists to get continuous
performance experience and skill development through our local open mic nights
and workshop series. By gathering artists in their own backyards, Kollaboration
helps create and nurture a vital community of supportive creatives.
Open mic/Spotlight events
Kollaboration hosts higher frequency, lower pressure
showcases to provide additional opportunities to
showcase local talent and provide a supportive
platform for up and coming artists.
Workshops
Kollaboration hosts interactive development
opportunities including songwriting, composing,
and dance workshops. These provide our alumni
and supporters a direct link to inspiring the youth.

The Kollaboration Movement
encompasses more than just
performing arts. We believe that
the pursuit of passion is something
that everyone should be free
to pursue and be celebrated.

network of supporters that are
leaders in their fields, including
tech, media, among others.

Kollaboration Empower Conference
is an event where API youth & young professionals from
all over the country will gather to learn directly from some
of the community’s most inspirational professionals. At
EMPOWER, attendees will be able to explore a variety
of creative career paths, industries, and best practices
to apply to making their dreams a reality. This unique
experience will bridge communities, generations,
industries, and innovative minds.
Our Empower programming gathers the collected expertise of
our networks to inspire the next generation of creative leaders to
follow their dreams and pursue their passions.

Our organizational commitment to
community engagement is seen in our
staff community service efforts and our
ongoing inter-organizational promotion
and performance opportunities.
Kollaboration emphasizes a strong
alignment with efforts above and
beyond just entertainment. Kollaboration
has partnered with dozens of local NPO’s
and grassroots initiatives all over North
America to address issues such as world
hunger, poverty, and health issues such
as Hepatitis B, leukemia, and more.
