EDUCATION FINANCING
To help you manage your education financing, Strathmore has partnered with Chase
Bank and International Finance Corporation to offer low interest loans to students
pursuing degrees and diplomas at the University. Students can also get loans from the
Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).

The Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications(BSc. TC) is a course that prepares candidates to
become specialists in theTelecommunications industry and can address the needs of the modern
business.
It is designed to meet the increasing demand in the
market place for IT professionals with a wide
knowledge of business management, technical
skills in telecommunications and the capacity
to harness and implement ICT strategies taking
advantage of emerging technologies.
The programme focuses on the strategic use,
development, implementation and management of
telecommunication systems and devices. It meets
the need to have graduates with good computer
and telecommunications skills in the emerging
knowledge economy.
To ensure curriculum keeps pace with changing
industry demands, students will select current
topics to be covered by industry experts in their
final year.
Courses in humanities and ethics are included to
address wider awareness of social and human life
that form the society, the private life and human
relations, and consequently the life of a company
and its performance.

OUR ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must meet the following requirement:
• KCSE aggregate B with a minimum B in
Mathematics and English OR
• IGCSE six B’s including Mathematics and English
and A level 2 principal passes and 1 subsidiary
pass.
• O-Level six B’s including Mathematics and English
and IB 28 points with 5 points in mathematics
and 5 points in English.

All candidates meeting the entry requirement are required
to sit the University entrance examination in English and
Mathematics and an oral interview.
LEARNING FACILITIES
Candidates are required to bring originals and copies of
relevant academic certificates, 2 passport size
photographs, a photocopy of birth certificate or National
ID or passport and Ksh1500 entrance exam fee.
