COATING: WANCO has recently invested in a
state-of-the art powder coating system. Powder
coating takes finish quality to the highest level.
The oven-baked polyester provides better
corrosion protection, ensures better coverage,
and increases the hardness of the finish.
The end result is a product with a top notch
finish and a high level of durability.
ASSEMBLY: WANCO’s Assembly Department
has ample space to divide production by product
type. Product assembly lines give WANCO the
ability to increase production and shorten delivery
times. Product knowledgeable crews working
these individual lines enable WANCO to maintain

ELECTRONICS: The onsite Electronics laboratory
is staffed with highly skilled technicians, who
assemble and test all electronics before going to
the assembly line. Our lab is equipped with the
latest tools and testing equipment to insure every
product delivered meets our high standards. All
repairing and troubleshooting of equipment is
completed in house, resulting in quicker turn
around times and lower repair costs. Repairing
equipment, in lieu of replacing it, keeps equipment

The Radar Message Director is a versatile, all LED
changeable message sign capable of displaying messages
in alphanumeric text or arrow board patterns and radar
output to remind motorists to check their speed (up to
3 digits may be displayed in either MPH or km/h format).
The approach-only radar system detects only oncoming
traffic. An automatic brightness feature gives the sign a
legible viewing distance of over 600ft (183m) both day
and night. The sign is used in a variety of locations including
school zones, construction or maintenance work zones,
neighborhoods and high-accident areas where the speed
limit must be enforced.
This unit has proven useful to reduce speeds. The Radar
Message Director is ideal for municipalities and others
with limited resources since it is 3 units in one – a Radar

The Speed Director is a mobile radar speed trailer that
provides a clear signal to the driver to check their current
speed. On the standard model a maximum of 2 digits are
displayed in either MPH or km/h format (3rd digit is an
option). The Speed Director is used for traffic calming in a
variety of locations including school zones, construction or
maintenance work zones, neighborhoods and high-accident
areas where the speed limit must be enforced. The
approach-only radar system detects only oncoming traffic
and will indicate to the driver if they are over the speed
limit. An extreme speed setting also allows the unit to
grab the attention of the driver by the use of other visual
display(s) while not showing actual speed. An automatic
brightness feature gives the sign a more legible viewing
distance both day and night while conserving valuable
stored energy. The WANCO Speed Director is an asset to
any Traffic Calming Program.

New Features!
The Pole Mounted Speed Director is a permanent radar speed fixture that
comes in a variety of configurations and provides a clear signal to the driver
to check their current speed. On the standard model a maximum of 2 digits
are displayed in either MPH or km/h format (3rd digit is an option). The
approach-only radar system only picks up oncoming traffic and will tell the
driver if they are over the speed limit. An extreme speed setting also
allows the unit to grab the attention of the driver by the use of other visual
display(s) while not showing actual speed. An automatic brightness feature
gives the sign a more legible viewing distance both day and night while
conserving valuable stored energy. The sign is used in a variety of
locations including school zones, construction or maintenance work zones,
neighborhoods and high-accident areas where the speed limit must be
enforced. School districts have reported success in using the pole
mounted speed detection to reduce the speed of traffic.

The X-Marker is an effective and efficient
