The students, teachers, support staff, and administrators were excited to be back and we all look forward to a productive and rewarding year. Open House was held on September 17, 2015 and was well attended. Parents and guardians had the opportunity to meet their son/daughter(s) teachers and learn about the courses and classroom expectations. Our new “Falcon Café” was on display during Open House. The café is a hands-on, project-based learning experience for our culinary arts students. These students will prepare and serve the food to Groton’s Senior Citizens and to Fitch High School teachers and staff during the school year. This is a great chance for the senior citizens to visit the high school and witness first hand the good things happening at FHS. Thanks to Ernie Koschmeider, Groton Public Schools Foods Director and Dr. Harwell, Culinary Arts teacher for coordinating this program. Please join us for our 4th Annual “Sounds by the Sea” Marching Band Competition to be held on September 26, 2015.
