Final Exam Days
• Students are not allowed on any other GISD
property (Consequences will follow)
• If you are exempt, CONGRATULATIONS! If not,
you must be in the exam period the entire
time. Teachers will not be letting anyone out
early. No students in the halls!
• You must be in the class period of your exempt
class if you are here in between exams. You
may not be in the halls, parking lot, etc.
Final Exam Days
• Make sure your rides are here on time
• On Thursday, June 2nd and Friday, June 3rd,
the campus needs to be cleared by
12:45pm
• Finals count 1/7th of your semester grade
• Please be prepared

Grab and Go Snack Pack Pilot
• Good Morning Mustangs!
• Are you hungry for something different than the traditional school breakfast?
• Check out the new Morning Snack Pack program!
• For breakfast, you now have the option to choose the Snack Pack or the
regular hot breakfast. You will be able to use your regular meal account and
pricing is the same for both the Snack Pack and regular breakfast.
• Be on the lookout for the Snack Pack Cart located between the Panza and
Homestyle lines…
End of Year Parking Announcement
• We have just a couple more parking spots available for student parking and after we
sell these we are sold out for the year!
• A parking permit is required to park on campus and this is effective through the end
of the school year. THESE MUST BE DISPLAYED! If you already have a permit, but have
lost it, a replacement can be purchased for $10. If you drive a different car than you
have registered there is a “Temporary Parking Log Sheet” in the Assistant Principal’s
office that you must sign in the morning.
• We are placing warning stickers on vehicles that are on campus without proper
authorization and the second warning will result in a boot being placed on your car.
The cost to remove a boot is $20.
• If you have any questions regarding parking, please come to the Assistant Principal’s
office.

Sachse HS Attendance Changes…
 On the 3rd consecutive absence we require a
doctor’s note to excuse.
 We can accept a parent note for the first 2 days.
 Students can also be dismissed by the school
nurse if they cannot go to the doctor.
 We are only accepting 6 parent notes per
semester.
Sachse HS Lunch Expectations
• Full length lunches are a requirement for students.
• Students should eat lunch in the cafeteria.
• Students must leave classrooms immediately when their beginning lunch bell
rings to go to the cafeteria. They must go straight to the cafeteria.
• Students in lunch must use the restroom by the lunchroom and cafeteria
annex. All other students should use the closest one to them, on the same
floor, and that use should be very minimal.
• Students must not leave the cafeteria until the bell rings ending their lunch.
• If a student leaves a classroom late to go to lunch, leaves the cafeteria early to
go to a classroom, field house, etc. THEY MUST DO THIS WITH THE ESCORT
OF A STAFF MEMBER, A PASS IS NOT SUFFICIENT!!!.

After School Procedures
• Students should not be roaming the hallways after
school.
• Students should be with a teacher/coach/sponsor by
2:43, otherwise they should exit the building and go
home.
• Whenever you leave tutorials, you must have a pass
(date and time) from that teacher. You must also use
pink hall pass when going to the restroom.
• Students should also wear their student ID.
After School Procedures
• Students in halls without pass will be given a
consequence
• 1st offense: Friday School 2:30-5:30 no buses, no
tutorials
• 2nd offense: Day of IBS
• 3rd offense and beyond: multiple days of IBS,
possible suspension and trespassing/loitering ticket
• There will be teachers on duty, walking the halls
• There will also be staff watching the cameras

Parking Lot/Off Campus Pass Policy
• Students are not allowed to leave the interior of the campus for any
reason without getting it cleared through the AP office.
• Teachers should direct students to the AP office with a detailed pass
indicating a request leave the building.
• An AP will authorize or deny the request at that time.
• Car passes will only be granted in cases of emergency.
Message from the Clinic…
• If you are feeling ill, please come to the clinic. We
will call a parent if there is a need to go home,
doctor, etc.
• Students are not advised to call or text a parent to
be released without first going through the clinic as
it will be an unexcused absence.
Cafeteria in the Mornings:
• Only students eating breakfast in the morning are
allowed in the cafeteria and students must be
SEATED!
• All students NOT eating breakfast should be in the
main gym.
• The cafeteria is not a place to hang out in the
mornings!

If you are entering the Academic or Fine Arts
Wings before school, you are required to
have a pass which needs to be signed by a
teacher or parent/guardian!

Please go to your lockers before school; after school; and
during classes but NOT during lunch.
Student Drop Off and Pick Up
• As we begin the spring semester, the safety of our students is our highest
priority.
• Please remember that parent drop off and pick up is in the back of our
building by the gym and the front is only to be used for busses.
• Also, the City of Sachse has posted signs along Miles road stating there is
no drop off or pick up on the roads in front of the school.
• Please be sure to follow these guidelines to insure everyone stays safe.
Crosswalk in the Front Parking Lot
• All students must walk across the front middle
crosswalk that cuts through the faculty parking lot
BEFORE and AFTER school.
• Students are NOT allowed to cross the faculty parking
lot on either end…you must use the middle crosswalk
for safety reasons.
College Days
• College Days must have SHS administrative approval prior to the
college/university visit.
• College Days are limited to two days and count as excused absences.
These two days must be used during the senior year, or one may be used
during the junior year under special circumstances with administrative
approval.
• The visits must be documented on college/university letterhead (no
copies accepted).
• Sign up in the Attendance Office if you are interested in taking College
Days.
TEA/VOE FORM
If you need to get your form, driver’s license
or license renewed, you need to request this
form from the Attendance Office
Requests require 24 hr. notice
Students are responsible for requesting their
own TEA/VOE
Come by before/after school or during your
lunch!
Student Safety Procedures
• Fire Drill
• Leave your classroom in an organized fashion
• Your teacher will direct your class where to go outside
• Please stay with your class…DO NOT WANDER AROUND
once outside!
• Tornado Drill
• Your teacher will direct you where to go.
• Downstairs classes will stay in their room
• Upstairs classes will report downstairs to their specified
areas.
• If you are at lunch, please stay calm and you will be
advised on where to report.
Student Safety Procedures

• Your teacher will direct you to go to an area of the classroom that is not
visible from the door
• The lights will be turned off
• You are to NOT TALK and take this very seriously
• Never open the door for anyone once it is locked
• If you are in the restroom, go inside a restroom stall, close the stall, and stand
on the toilet
• If you are at lunch, get under the lunch tables.
