MAYOR
CORPORATION OF THE
CITY OF SAULT STE. MARIE
GREETINGS FROM THE MAYOR
Sault Ste. Marie is honoured to have one of the biggest winter carnivals in
the country. Each year families and visitors get to enjoy the festivities that
Bon Soo has to offer.
For the past fifty-one years Bon Soo has been providing fun activities and
entertainment for our community. From winter playgrounds to showcases of
our amazing local talent, families and visitors have been able to enjoy the
winter season here in Northern Ontario. The fun and excitement that this
event brings to our community truly brightens up the Sault Ste. Marie
environment. Not only is this carnival a nationally renowned event but it also
plays a huge role in the culture of Sault Ste. Marie.
The carnival’s theme for this year is Bon Soo’s partnership with the Skate
Canada Northern Ontario Synchronized Skating Championship that will be
held on closing weekend. We are thrilled to host Skate Canada Northern
Ontario and welcome all of the skaters, family and friends to Sault Ste.
Marie.
On behalf of the City of Sault Ste. Marie, I offer a special thank you to the hard working and dedicated volunteers
and coordinators who make this community tradition possible. We look forward to yet another wonderful winter
carnival!
Join me in continuing to make Bon Soo one of the most memorable parts of the year.
