(NRAHA) TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1.
All horses (Purebred & Derivative) MUST be
registered with the Arabian Horse Society of
Australia Ltd (AHSA) and a complete photocopy of
registration papers MUST accompany all entries
2.
Owners of Purebred mares and stallions MUST be
current financial members of the AHSA.
3.
Every handler, rider, driver, groom & anyone
handling a horse MUST complete an AHSA Liability
Declaration and if applicable the AHSA Registered
Participant Application.
4.
Entries close 17 June 2013.
5.
Entries must be made in writing on the supplied
form, accompanied by the correct payment and all
supporting documents.
6.
By lodging an entry the exhibitor shall be bound by
the terms & conditions set out herein.
The
signature on an entry form by an exhibitor shall be
deemed to evidence acceptance of same.
7.
Any cheque received by the organisers shall be
deemed to be conditional payment only and is
subject to payment upon presentation. Any bank
fees/charges incurred by the organisers regarding
dishonoured cheques will be payable by that
exhibitor.

Entry fees will not be refundable after closing date
without the submission of a veterinary certificate.

Conduct:(a) Any horse deemed by the Judge, Steward,
Ringmaster or Organising Committee to be out
of control, or a danger to others will be
eliminated and sent from the ring.
(b) Use of noisemaking devices (i.e. rattles or
shakers) in the marshalling area, on entry to the
ring or otherwise is not permitted.
(c) Excessive use of whips, chains or any other
action including inciting any horse by ‘facing-up’
or deliberate overcrowding deemed by the
Judge, Steward, Ringmaster or Organising
Committee to be cruel, unwarranted or
deliberately aggravated will result in elimination
of horse and Handler.
(d) Handlers & Riders must be suitably attired.
(e) Handlers & Riders must clearly display correct
exhibit number.
Youth are to be 17 years and under at time of
Show and must wear approved safety helmets in
all ridden classes. Approval No. AS/NZ 3838
should be on your helmet.
Amateur Owners/Handlers must hold current
AHSA Ltd Amateur Card, copy to accompany
entries.
Birth date of all horses is to be taken as 1 August.
Stallions and colts must have 2 descended
testicles unless accompanied by a vet certificate
certifying removal of one.
Stallions and colts are not permitted to be
handled, ridden or driven by persons under 18
years of age.
Geldings must be gelded. Foals registered as
geldings cannot compete in colt classes.
All Ridden Horses must be 3 years of age or older.
Halter horses which are also competing under
saddle will not be penalised for presenting plaited
in their halter classes.
A Maiden is defined as a horse or pony not having
won a first place in the same or similar class at any
show at the closing date of entry. To be ridden in
an approved snaffle bridle. Hacking cane optional
– no dressage whips.
A Newcomer is defined as a horse or pony which
has not debuted under saddle at any Agricultural
Show, Arabian Show or Hack Show run by an
affiliated Club prior to 1 July 2012. To be ridden in
an approved snaffle bridle. Hacking cane optional
– no dressage whips.
A Novice is defined as a horse or pony which has
not won a first place in an Open Hack Class or
Championship at any Arabian AA or A show at the
closing date of entry. To be ridden in an approved
snaffle or double bridle. Hacking cane optional –
no dressage whips.
Champions from all Purebred Halter classes
excluding Amateur Owner/Handler classes, are
eligible for Supreme Purebred Halter Exhibit.
Champions from all Derivative Halter classes
excluding Amateur Owner/Handler classes, are
eligible for Supreme Derivative Halter Exhibit.

The Organising Committee reserves the right,
without assigning reason, to:(a) reject or cancel any entry at any time;
(b) cancel any event or class;
(c) combine classes with less than 4 entries;
(d) transfer an exhibit from one class to another;
(e) expel any exhibit/exhibitor from the
competition and from the grounds.
No responsibility will be taken for any loss,
accident or damage which may be caused to or
suffered by any exhibit or exhibitor or person or
property and it is a condition of entry that
exhibitors shall hold the Organising Committee
and/or NRAHA indemnified against any claim in
respect of any accident, loss or damage.
The Premier Show will be run in accordance with
the following:(a) the current Rules of AHSA Limited; and
(b) NRAHA’s own terms and conditions of entry,
as set out herein.
Disputes/Protests may be submitted in writing to
the Secretary within 30 minutes of the disputed
class with a $50.00 fee which will be forfeit if the
dispute is dismissed. The Committee’s decision
will be final.
If required by law in July 2013, a Travel and BioSecurity Declaration will be issued to all entrants –
this form MUST be completed and returned
(together with copies of all applicable travel
documentation as may be force at the time) to the
Organising Committee before horses will be
permitted to enter the Showgrounds.
The 2013 Premier Cup - Classes 25 & 85 combine
led and ridden assessment.
Led and ridden
horses are to present in an approved snaffle or
double bridle. Riders to present in semi-formal
English attire (no tails). Hacking cane and spurs
optional, no dressage whips. The led component
of each Premier Cup class will occur at the end of
the other halter program in the relevant ring (led
Purebreds will be judged in Ring 1, led Derivatives
will be judged in Ring 2). Following led evaluation,
horses may leave the ring to prepare for
presentation as an Open Hack – these will be the
first ridden class in each ring (Purebreds in Ring 2,
Derivatives in Ring 1) Each horse/rider
combination will have the opportunity to work out
for the judge. The judge will set the workout on
the day. Scored 50% for Led Hack and 50% for
workout as Open Hack. Top 5 sashed. Garland &
Trophy for Winner. Entry fee for “Premier Cup”
Classes: $30.00 The Premier Cup entry fee does
not form part of the “Package Deal” offered
regarding Performance Classes.

EVERY PERSON WHO WILL BE A HANDLER, RIDER, DRIVER, GROOM &
EVERY PERSON HANDLING A HORSE OR PONY MUST COMPLETE THIS FORM
THE ARABIAN HORSE SOCIETY OF AUSTRALIA LIMITED advises NRAHA are not permitted to allow anyone to show,
handle, ride, drive or prepare any horse or pony unless one of the following criteria is met:

losses, suits and damages made against or suffered by the organizing body by reason of any negligent act or omission on
the part of any rider, driver, trainer or attendant whilst he/she is attending, riding, driving or otherwise handling any horse
so entered or any other horse owned or entered by me, and I agree that any act or omission on the part of such rider,
driver, handler or attendant found in any action against you to be negligent shall be deemed to have been negligent for the
purpose of any claim under this indemnity.

Australia Limited and/or contained in the official NRAHA Show Schedule and I also agree to abide by all of the

Participants in Affiliate activities, who are not current financial members of an AHSA Affiliate or the AHSA ie handlers / riders / trainers/
strappers/ grooms etcetera, upon completion of this form are deemed to be “Registered Participants” during this event for the purposes
of participation only. Protection is afforded to the participant under the AHSA’s public liability policy only during this event where they are
liable for causing bodily injury or property damage to others. This option is not available to owners of Purebred Arabian mares or any
stallion where current AHSA membership is required to be eligible to compete.

Horse Sports are a Dangerous Activity
In consideration for being permitted to participate in any way in horse sport activities and in particular this event, I, the undersigned, understand,
acknowledge and accept that:

There is a significant risk that serious INJURY or DEATH may result from horse sport activities and in particular this event. I knowingly and freely
assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the proprietors of the event organiser (hereafter referred to
as the "Releasee") or others and I VOLUNTARILY PARTICIPATE at my OWN RISK and assume sole responsibility for any injury, death or property
damage I may suffer that arises from my participation in horse sport activities.

I understand and acknowledge the dangers associated with the consumption of alcohol or any mind altering drugs before and during the activity
and I take full responsibility for any injury, loss or damage associated with their consumption. I agree not to drink alcohol or take drugs prohibited
by law before or during this event.

I agree to follow the directions of any event organiser or official and that any misconduct or refusal by me to follow any direction of any organiser or
official can result in the CANCELLATION of my participation in the event and my immediate removal from my horse NO MATTER where that may
occur. I further agree to abide by the Rules and Conditions of this show and the official Rule Book of the Arabian Horse Society of Australia. I
understand that any such non-compliance may result in injury, death and/or permanent disability and I agree to indemnify the Releasees against all
claims made by any person as a result of my failure to comply.

I agree to wear an approved safety helmet at all times whilst riding and agree that I am solely responsible for ensuring that I wear a suitable helmet
at all times and take sole responsibility for my actions.

I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, hereby release and hold harmless and agree not to sue the
proprietors of the Arabian Horse Society of Australia Ltd and/or the event organiser, their officers, officials, volunteers, coaches, agents and/or
employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, state bodies, affiliated clubs and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to
conduct the activities (all of whom are referred to as "Releasees") with respect to any and all injury, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or
property, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise.

I understand that due to diseases such as equine influenza the Department of Primary Industries or other state or commonwealth government
bodies may restrict or prevent the movement of horses, vehicles and personnel for a time period, otherwise known as a “standstill”. I acknowledge
that a standstill is a risk of competing and agree to pay any costs or expenses incurred by any person or organisation for and on behalf of my
horse(s) as a result of a standstill.
Effect of this Document
I have had sufficient opportunity to read this release of liability and assumption of risk agreement, fully understand its terms, understand that I have given
up substantial rights by signing it, and sign it freely and voluntarily without inducement of any kind. I understand that my signature to this document
constitutes a complete and unconditional release of all liability of the Releasees, to the greatest extent allowed by law in the event of me and/or the
children under my care, suffering injury or death.
