Daniel Gómez Asensio Orchestra Conductor He is Doble Higher Titled on Oboe and Orchestra Conducting by the Conservatory "Joaquin Rodrigo" in Valencia, Titled in Music Education from the University in Valencia, and Master in Cultural Management from the Polytechnic University in Valencia. He worked as an Oboe Professor at the Professional Music Conservatories in Alcañíz and Huesca, moreover he taught in several music schools and summer courses. He is a Founding member of Giocundum Wind Quintet, and he used to work as an Oboe player in numerous orchestras and groups like the JORVAL, JONDE, OFUV and FSMCV. As a conductor, he is the winner of the X International Conducting Competition "José Ferríz" and he also qualified for the X International Conducting Competition in Cadaqués. He was assistant conductor of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Valencia University for four years, and assistant at the “Palau de la Música” in Valencia during the 2012-2013 season. Currently he is the conductor of the Wind Band "Santa Cecilia" in Onda, conductor and founder of the "José Perpiñán" Orchestra in Segorbe, and conductor of the "Agrupación Musical del Palancia", groups with which he maintains a steady schedule of concerts. He was invited to conduct concerts in the Orchestras: "La Perla" of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, the Orchestra of the Conservatories “José Iturbi” and “Joaquin Rodrigo” in Valencia, the Cadaqués Orchestra, the Youth Symphony Orchestra in Castellón and the Segorbe Orchestra of Plucked; with the Municipal Wind Bands in: Castellón, Segorbe, Liria, Algar del Palancia, Alcañíz; and with the Choirs: Alameda, Gregorio Gea, Scholapiarum Singers, Ramon Cercós, “Juventudes Musicales” and Vivarium. He studied orchestral conducting with: Benjamin Zander, Yaron Traub, Cristóbal Soler Almudéver, Enrique García Asensio, Ferrer Ferran, Manuel Galduf and Rafael Sánchez Mombiedro. He also received master classes from: Omer Meir Wellber, Marco Guidarini, Plácido Domingo and Ottavio Dantone. He got the Silver City Medal of Segorbe for their work on the development of music and culture.
