FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT’S THE BEST TIME OF THE SEASON TO VISIT?
There truly isn’t a bad time to join us during our short
spring season. March has slightly colder temperatures,
but the powder is dry and deep. The days get longer
in April, the temperatures are more moderate, and the
powder skiing continues to be fantastic.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE
WEATHER ISN’T COOPERATING?

Runs are selected at your guide’s discretion, which is
each week, but sometimes the

clouds (filled with snow) do roll

to expert skier and rider so our guests are typically
experienced deep-powder skiers who enjoy an adventurous steep-skiing experience.
HOW MANY RUNS SHOULD I EXPECT TO SKI IN A DAY?
A day with VHSG averages six to eight runs at 3,000 to 5,000 vertical feet per run. Expect to ski
100,000-120,000 vertical feet during your ski week. Yes, we ski a lot! Note, though, that the
number of runs depends on group ability, snow conditions, and weather. There have been days
when we’ve been able to ski as many as twelve runs. Mmmm!
WHAT IS A TYPICAL DAY’S AGENDA?
Weather dependent, a normal day starts with a breakfast buffet served from 7 to 8:30am.
The ski day starts at the heli-pad at 9am. Lunch is enjoyed in the mountains. We typically
finish skiing between 3 and 6pm. Dinner is served shortly after 6pm.
