We’ll be staying in a cabin on the mountain and hitting the slopes at winter place in West Virginia! Free Trip Giveaway! The first 10 people to sign up and pay the $250 will be put in drawing for a free giveaway: free ski rentals, lift tickets, or possibly even a whole free trip. The more people sign up, the better the giveaway prize will be! Pack -Signed and Notarized DBBC medical Form -Winter Clothes -Sleeping bag and pillow -Toiletries -Close-toed shoes -Towel/washcloth -Ski Gear (See list on other side) -Money for 1 meal on the road both ways -Trash bag for your dirty clothes -Hand warmers Do Not Pack Drugs/Alcohol/Tobacco/Weapons/ Bad attitude Cost: Sunday, November 22 **Money and sign ups due** Bring your signed and notarized DBBC medical form Friday Jan 1 9:00- Meet at the Met to pack Breakfast will be served. 10:30- Leave for Winterplace! (Rate is for all day rental) *This covers Ski rental, lift tickets, meals and lodging.If you have your own skis/snowboard you can bring it to lower your cost. *Never skied before? No problem! Skiing is not super difficult to learn. It is recommended that you ski instead of snowboard as snowboarding is harder to learn in just a couple days whereas skiing can be picked up in a few hours to one day. First timer’s will be required to wear a helmet. Ski Gear List:(Wear this while skiing) -Insulated Jacket:Wind and water proof. Or you can wear layers under a rain jacket -Pants:Water proof pants are a must have! You can wear layers under rain pants or purchase ski bibs for 20$ a day at the rental place. - Gloves:Winter, water proof gloves(not mittens)are also really important. -Hat- Something that covers your ears. -Socks- Wool or acrylic is best, but anything that goes up past your ankle is what you’ll need - Googles- You’ll need these for snow and sun protection.Tinted ones are best. - Chapstick- Wear this and your lips will thank you later. - Scarf or Gator to cover your face - Sunscreen- You can get burned on your face from snow reflection.
