MANUAL NOTES
This manual covers the Center Software program that shipped with your DVR. The Center Software allows
you to establish a remote connection to your DVR by various methods such as LAN, WAN, ISDN, etc. If
you have questions about how to set-up your DVR for remote connections, please contact you dealer for
assistance.
Minimum System Specifications:
►CPU : Celeron 800MHz or greater
►MEMORY:128MB or greater
►VGA CARD:Radeon 7000 64MB DDR or better
►HDD:10GB free space
►O/S : WIN98se, 2000. XP
►Communication : MODEM, LAN, ISDN, Leased Circuit

CENTER SOFTWARE INSTALLATION
To install the Center Software locate the software folder as shown below, double click on the folder
to open it.
Locate the Data1 folder as shown below, double click on the folder it to open it.

Double click on the Setup Batch File, as shown below to begin installation.
Follow the installation steps to complete the installation. The setup program will complete
and you must press any key to exit the Dos Utility. The Center Icon will be on your
desktop. Before executing the Center software you must ensure that your system is set to
a resolution of 1024x768 with at least 24 bit color.

Remote Backup Server
Once the Center Software is installed on your system, you will also have a program icon on
your desktop for the Remote Backup Server. This utility allows the computer you have installed
the Center Software onto receive backup files from a DVR remotely. To use this feature the
software must be running at the time the DVR attempts the backup. To execute the program
double click on the icon.
Before using this feature for the first time you must assign a password to allow the DVR to make a
connection to your system.
Click on the Menu button and select the change password option. The old password will be blank. Insert a
new 4 digit password in the box and also in the verify box and click on OK. This password will be needed
when setting up a remote backup session to the system you are using.

When a successful connection has been made and a backup session is occuring, the screen will be showing
the sessions that are being processed.
The system will keep a log of the backup sessions and the result of the backups. To view the logs select the
Backup Log option from the menu button. The list of completed backups will be shown.

Select the Backup Session from the list and click on the View Log Button to see the results of the selected
session. To delete the session log from the list, select the session and click on Delete Logs. The log will
show the start and End Time as well as the location where the backup was created. This location will be
where you can find the images when you enter search mode.

Emergency Monitor
Once Center Software is installed on your system you will have the emergency monitor
installed also. Emergency monitor will also be available on your task bar next to the clock.
Emergency monitor allows you to receive emergency information from the DVR’s on your
network. The below screen shot will appear when the emergency monitor is running.
#1 – Setup – Click here will enter the setup section. You can select the choices for the
operation of the software and then click ok.
When a DVR has information regarding its status, system issues, motion detected (if this is
enabled under site setup), they will be displayed on the screen. You can access the calling
DVR by clicking on the log entry and clicking on the center button to activate an immediate
connection to the DVR, or you can also access the health report for the calling DVR by
clicking on the Health Button.

System Health Monitor
Clicking on the Health Button will display the below screen.
#1 Setup – Clicking here will enter the setup section.
Choose the options you would like and click OK
To make a connection, if one is not active, select the DVR you would like to connect to and click on Connect.

The status of the DVR will be displayed. You can check the status of all cameras, sensors, and
the amount of recording the DVR currently is storing.

You will see any memo’s that have been added to the system and you can select the memo you
would like to view or delete from the system.
To add a new memo to the system click on write. The box below will display allowing you to
type a new memo. Click on OK to add the memo to the system.

#2 – System Log – Clicking on this button will display the system log options. To search for
a section of the system log click on the search button. The search section will be displayed.
Select the start and end times you would like to view and click on ok.
To view details about a log entry select the entry and click on view. The details of the entry will be
displayed. To delete an entry, select it from the list and click on delete.

SETUP
To execute the program double click on the Center Icon on your desktop. The program will start and
a password box will appear. The password is blank by default. Click on Ok to begin. The main
screen below will appear. The below section describes the features that apply to the buttons before
a connection is established.
# 1 – Setup – Clicking on this button will bring up the Center Software setup menus. The About
Diginet Center button shown below will display information about your system and the version of
Center Software that you are using. This information may be needed by your dealer to assist with
any technical questions.

Setup Configuration –
Preservable – Enter the amount of time you would like the system to wait before disconnecting if
there is no response.
Display Control Status – If this box is checked the control relay output buttons will be shown on
the main screen after connecting.
Watermark – Check here if you would like the system to display if the images are watermarked.
Now Screen Data Save – Check here if you would like the center software program to save all
the images you view with the now feature.
Remote Screen Data Save – Check here if you would like the system to save the images you
playback with the search feature.
Select Save Drive – Select the Drive that the above images will be saved to.
Modem – Select how the center software is to make it’s connections to the DVR. The screens
below will appear depending on how you would like to make the connection. If you do not have
a modem installed you will get an error in the box and will have to install a modem before using
that method of connection. If you would like to use a modem to make a connection by
PSTN or an ISDN terminal adapter to make you connection you may need to follow the
steps outlined in Appendix “A” contained in the DVR operation manual.

Other –
Change Password – Click on this button to enter the section to change the password used to gain
access to the center software.
Clock Display Format – Select how you would like your clock to be displayed.
# 2 – Connection – Clicking on this button will bring up the connection box bellow. If the box is empty
you need to add the information from the site DVR. The password box should be filled in with the
password that has been assigned to make a remote connections from the DVR. The default
password is 1234. Once the information is entered click on the add button to save the information.
You can place connections into groups to allow for easier retrieval.

# 3 – Search – Clicking on this button will enter the search screen below. Select the drive that contains
your data. Select the type of video that is saved on the selected drive and the list of site codes that
contains images will be shown. Select the site code that contains the images you would like to view
and click on ok. The search screen will display, you can then playback the images using the same
procedures outlined later in the manual.

ESTABLISHING A CONNECTION
# 1 – Click on connect to bring up the connection box. Select the DVR that you wish to make a
connection to and then click on connect. If you are making more than one connection repeat the above
steps, before proceeding any further.
# 2 – Connection Status – Once the connections are made the list of available connections is
displayed in this section. You can scroll through this list to see which connections are active.

Displaying Live Images
# 3 – Camera Selection – Once the connections are made the available cameras are displayed in
this section. Select the cameras from each connection that you would like to display.
# 4 – Now – Click on this button to begin viewing the selected cameras. The Now button will
change to Stop. You must click Stop to change to another selection or add and remove cameras
from the current view.
System Control
# 5 – Control – Allows you to activate the control relays that are connected to the DVR.
System Setup
# 6 – Setup – Once you have established the connection you can modify certain setting on the
DVR remotely. For more information on the settings that can be modified see the Site DVR user
manual. You will have to have a password that will allow you access to this section.
Search
# 7 – Search – Clicking on search will bring up the search screen below. The days on the
calendar have stored video. Simply select the day and time you wish to see and the cameras
that you would like included in the playback and select the playback method from below.
Stop
Play backward
Play forward
Play one frame backward
To the beginning of the
recording for the selected day.
Play one frame forward
To the end of the recording
for the selected day.
# 1 – Play Mode Selection
# 2 – Skip – Enter the number of frames you would like to skip during playback.
# 3 – Delay – Enter the amount of delay you would like during playback in mille-seconds.
# 4 – Brightness / Zoom – You can adjust the brightness and the size of the displayed
image. Images can only be adjusted when they are displayed on the screen by
themselves.

# 5 – Backup - When you have located an image that you would like to save on a floppy disk insert
a floppy disk into the drive and click on the disk image. You can also click on the print button to
print the image you have located. The only backup option that is available from a live connection is
backup to a floppy, however you can choose to have the video you display and playback saved to
an accessible drive and you can perform full backup functions on these saved images. See the
DVR users manual for more information on image backups.
# 6 – Quit – Clicking on this button will return you to the main Center Screen.
