Fforest Fawr
UNESCO
Global Geopark
Mae Geoparc y Fforest Fawr yn gorchuddio hanner
gorllewinol y parc cenedlaethol. Nid yn unig yr ydym yn
dathlu ei ben-blwydd yn 10 oed yn ystod 2016, ond rydym
hefyd yn dathlu dod yn Geoparc Byd-eang UNESCO.
• Rydym yn un Geoparc ymhlith teulu o 120 ledled y
byd - ac yn ychwanegol at ddathlu’r dreftadaeth
ddaearegol unigryw, mae gan bob un ei fywyd gwyllt,
ei hanes, ei archeoleg a mwy.
• Ymwelwch â ni ac ‘ewch at wreiddyn’ y dirwedd
anhygoel hon - fel y gwnaeth y rhewlifoedd yma
20,000 o flynyddoedd yn ôl, ac fel y gwnaeth ein
cyndeidiau, yn chwilota am gyfoeth y ddaear 200
mlynedd yn ôl - pam ddim mentro ar un o’n teithiau
tanddaearol?
• Gwnewch 2016 yn flwyddyn llawn antur, a hynny yma
ymysg ein bryngaerau dychrynllyd a’n tramffyrdd
dramatig, o’n mynyddoedd gwyllt i’n rhaeadrau
cuddiedig; y tirweddau ysgubol sy’n ymestyn o’r
creigiau ac sy’n cael eu haddurno gan yr awyr ysblennydd.

Brecon
The Fforest Fawr Geopark covers
overs
the western half of the national park.
Not only are we marking its tenth birthday year
during 2016 but celebrating becoming a UNESCO
Global Geopark too.
• We’re one of a family of 120 Geoparks worldwide
- each one celebrating not just its unique geological
heritage but its wildlife, history, archaeology and more.
• Visit us and ‘dig deeper’ into this special landscape
- just as glaciers did around here 20,000 years ago and
as our ancestors did, seeking earth’s riches 200 years
ago - why not take one of our underground
sightseeing tours?
• Make 2016 your own year of adventure, here amongst
our haunting hillforts and dramatic tramroads, from
our wild mountain crests to our hidden waterfalls;
sweeping landscapes conjured from the enduring
rock and decorated by the ever-changing sky.

I GARU bAnnAU
Mae doethion yn diffodd
Mae llai yn fwy
Mae'r awyr fan hyn ymhlith
y tywyllaf yn Ewrop; ar
noson glir edrychwch i fyny
i weld y Llwybr Llaethog yn
ei holl ogoniant. Mae
diffodd goleuadau a throi'r
gwres i lawr pan nad oes ei
angen yn gwneud mwy
nag arbed ynni a lleihau
allyriadau carbon. Mae'n
helpu i sicrhau nosweithiau
hudol yn y Warchodfa Awyr
Dywyll Ryngwladol hon.
Mae ailddefnyddio bagiau
siopa ac ailgylchu yn ffordd
o fyw yma. Diolch ichi am
ein helpu i leihau faint sy'n
cael ei daflu i ffwrdd. Mae
gan y rhan fwyaf o'r trefi a
phentrefi gyfleusterau
ailgylchu, ac efallai bydd
eich darparwr llety yn rhoi
biniau ailgylchu i chi - os
na, gofynnwch!
bwytwch fwyd da,
gonest a lleol
Mae'r cynhwysion iawn i
gyd yma: Awyr lân,
dyffrynnoedd ffrwythlon a
digonedd o ddŵr ffres. Y
canlyniad yn y pen draw
yw cig oen Cymreig blasus,
brecwastau Cymreig
traddodiadol a hyd yn oed
wisgi Cymreig! Byddwch yn
blasu bwyd lleol mewn
bwytai o fri, tafarndai clud,
siopau te hyfryd,
marchnadoedd ffermwyr,
siopau bwyd ac yn yr
amrywiaeth o wyliau a
gynhelir yma.
newidiwch gêr
Mae mynd o un man i'r llall
yn yr awyr agored yn
hawdd ac yn hwyl: rhowch
gynnig ar y bws, trên, beic,
canŵ neu hyd yn oed eich
esgidiau cerdded! Mae hyd
yn oed fflyd o geir trydan
gwych sy'n cario dau
berson, ynghyd â
rhwydwaith gyfeillgar o
fannau gwefru ledled y Parc.
Byddwch yn rhyfeddu cystal
mae'r cefn gwlad yn edrych
o safbwynt gwahanol.
dewch yn nes,
anadlwch yn well
Mae ein tirlun syfrdanol yn
dda i chi - dylech chi ei drin
fel pe bai'n ffrind i chi. Ewch
yn nes at fywyd gwyllt, blodau
a phlanhigion, ond peidiwch
â tharfu arnyn nhw.
Defnyddiwch lwybrau troed os
yn bosibl, cadwch eich ci dan
reolaeth ac ewch â'ch sbwriel
adref bob tro. Diolch.
