FEATURED HEARTABOUT RECEPTIONS / PERFORMANCES:
1. ARMADILLO MUSIC, 207 F St., 530-758-8058; reception, 6 – 8 p.m., Armadillo
Music and Jake’s Desserts (113 E St.) are partnering up to provide a special Valentine’s
Day treat – ice cream! Come and indulge in a sampling of some of Jake’s Desserts
frozen treats, and enjoy the live and soulful sounds of Donald Beaman. Donald Beaman
is a singer-songwriter and guitarist with songs characterized by distinctive lyrics,
uncluttered arrangements, and elegiac melodies. Performance from 7 – 8 p.m. Musician
portraits by Sean McNearney on display.
2. AVID READER, 617 Second St., 530-758-4040; reception, 5:30 – 7 p.m., Irina
Prevera, red and heart themed abstractions in acrylic, glass mosaic tiles, metal, pebble
rocks, wood, and much more, through February 28. Come meet the artist and enjoy
refreshments!
3. CORK IT AGAIN WINE SELLER, 820 Fourth St., 530-756-WINE; reception, 5 – 9
p.m., Seana Burke, local artist and art teacher. Meet the artist with enjoy Valentine’s
treats, Greek appetizers from Kouzounas Kitchen, and wine by the glass for $3 for any
of their varietals.
4. F ST. GALLERY OF HALLMARK INN, 110 F St.; reception, 5 – 8 p.m., “Hearts
and More,” Mary Neri King, acrylic and mixed media Valentine’s art, through March
10. Come in to meet Mary and to enjoy wine and cookies. Also, see F Street Gallery’s
permanent collection, including works by Stephanie Taylor, Deladier Almeida, Cindy
Wilson, Dianne Mengali, and Jean Van Keuren. Stop in and ask the front desk to direct
you to these fabulous pieces of art presented proudly by the Hallmark Inn Partners and
the F Street Gallery.

Little Big Town,” Ben Tuason, photography in and around Davis. Come and meet the
artist while enjoying wine and chocolate!

Friends,” Tom Corbett, mixed media illustrations, through February 27. Come meet the
artist and enjoy refreshments!
7. PAMELA TROKANSKI DANCE WORKSHOP, 2720 Del Rio Place, 530-756-3949;
reception, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., “LOVE,” Pamela Trokanski is offering a family valentine’s
event for 2nd Friday HeArtAbout. Participants will have the opportunity to learn the
“L-O-V-E” dance to the famous Nat King Cole song, create valentines, hear poet
emeritus Alegra Silberstein, see visual art by local artists, and eat sweet treats.
Pamela Trokanski Dance Theatre dancers, contemporary dance, poet emeritus: Alegra
Silberstein, and visual artists: Sarah Clanton, Amy Habicht, Sarita Pinto, mixed-media,
wax encaustics, and custom printing. Art available for purchase. Dance instruction
begins at 6 p.m.

treats and a special handmade kissing photo booth!

Bill Foley, ceramic sculpture, through February 28. “Seastruck,” work by artists who
depict man’s relationship to the ocean and related environmental concerns, includes:

Unrepentant,” Maryann Steinert-Foley’s sculptural work reflects her long-standing

Valentine’s card making table open to all ages, and chocolates, refreshments, and wine
will be available. Acme Theatre Company will perform pirate sea-shanties and readings
of scenes from Treasure Island, Pirates vs. Ninjas, and Argonautika from 6 - 8 p.m.
10. RADIATE ART, 911 Third St.; reception, 6 – 9 p.m., Join us as we celebrate all
with HeArt. The theme begins in the gallery. Visit with the artists while enjoying sweet
