The State Rooms are the show piece of the Presidential Palace sited at the heart of Malta’s World
Heritage capital city of Valletta. The Palace itself was one of the first buildings in the new city of Valletta
founded by Grand Master Jean de Valette in 1566 a few months after the successful outcome of the
Great Siege of Malta in 1565. The Palace was enlarged and developed by successive Grand Masters to
serve as their official residence. Later, during the British period, it served as the Governor’s Palace and
was the seat of Malta’s first constitutional parliament in 1921.

Full Day English Speaking Guide (9hours) – Gozo Jeep Tour
Gozo is rural and simple, its culture and way of life rooted in fishing, and in primitive pastoral and
agricultural activity. Tomatoes, potatoes, onions, melons, grapes, figs, oranges, and tangerines are the
island’s prime agricultural produce.
Gozo though separated from mainland Malta by a 5km stretch of Mediterranean Sea is distinctly
different from Malta. The soil is fertile as much blue clay is present. This means that rain water does not
sink through the ground quickly and is the reason why Gozo always looks greener for most part of the
year.

It was home then, as now, to Malta's noble families; some are descendants of the Norman, Sicilian and
Spanish overlords who made Mdina their home from the 12th century onwards. Impressive palaces line
its narrow, shady streets.
Mdina is one of Europe's finest examples of an ancient walled city and extraordinary in its mix of
medieval and baroque architecture.

Drive to Dingli Cliffs for a Photo Stop
The cliffs propose a majestic sight, particularly if viewed from a boat while cruising, but also from the top
- the views are breath-taking, overlooking the small terraced fields below, the open sea, and Filfla, the
small uninhabited island just across. The cliffs can be seen as natural forts, since no attacker can
approach the island from the West given their impressive height.

Knights of Malta Themed Welcome and Dinner
Concept
Re-live the full glory of the Knights of Malta witnessing a knighting ceremony – an occasion of elaborate
ceremony and solemn vows. Guests will also experience a personal encounter with the Gran d Master
himself while enjoying the surroundings deck out in a typical medieval setting.
The Knights of Malta
Guests will be welcomed by an entourage led by the Master of Ceremonies. The entourage will consist
of torch, lance and flag bearers, drummers and trumpeters as well as page boys and noble couples. A
fanfare is played and the Master of Ceremonies will invite guests to progress into the venue.
Once the guests have entered the main area the entourage will follow and, via a fanfare, announce the
arrival of the Grand Master. The Master of Ceremonies will lead the proceedings and invite the Grand
Master onto the stage who, in turn, will welcome the guests to the venue and ask them to stand and
witness the knighting ceremony [the people knighted could be team winners, directors or even the
entire group].
Following the ceremony the entourage will exit to a departing fanfare led by the Grand Master.
The Medieval Feast
The entertainment was as important as the banquet in medieval times. Jesters and travelling minstrels
would entertain the nobles and knights alike.
Our guests will witness a superb sword swallowing spectacle utilising medieval weaponry. A sword
fighting display by actors in full medieval costumes will get guests into ‘battle mode’ while dancers will
add a touch a mysticism and sensuality. Roaming magicians and tarot card readers will amuse guests
throughout the evening.
Drummers and Trumpeters can play depending on Venue
