The local Quality Assured DMC, On Site Malta maintained a detail-oriented approach in the planning and execution of this event. A 4 day inspection visit preceded the actual incentive to carefully select the program, venues and menus. Incentive Program Day 1 | 24th May 2011 and 14th June 2011 As the guests arrived in Malta on a direct flight from Paris, they were welcomed by On Site Malta staff and licensed guides and transferred to the northern part of the island – Marfa, for the start of their adventure. A sailing regatta was organized for the guests, along the east coast of the island of Gozo. Viewing some of the breath taking spots of the island, the guests experienced the natural beauty that only Gozo can offer – such as Hondoq ir-Rummien, Dahlet Qorrot and San Blas Bay. The Sailing Regatta was organized on a number of yachts, all leaving from the same starting point and vying for the number one spot! As soon as the Regatta ended, the guests were transferred to Mgarr Harbour and then on to their hotel by coach. The Kempinski San Lawrenz was chosen by the client due to its unique location, amidst blissful country side. The property is the only hotel in Gozo to be Eco-Certified by the Malta Tourism Authority. This fact helped the client choose this hotel in particular due to the reduction in the carbon footprint of the guests, a fact that is becoming very important for MICE clients. After some free time at leisure to enjoy the hotel’s facilities, the guests were transferred to one of Gozo’s foremost restaurants for a feast of fish and mouthwatering Gozitan cuisine. The Gozo Jeep Adventure took the guests all over the island, discovering places unreachable by the normal tourist, while also breaking codes and deciphering riddles to take them from one place to the next, to reach their final destination. The adventure ended at Wied il-Mielah (l/o Gharb), after which the guests were transferred to an exclusive location, where a BBQ lunch was set up solely for them. An array of fresh appetizers and freshly grilled meats and fish rounded the afternoon off in a tasty way. After lunch, the jeep convoy continued towards Mgarr, where a traditional wooden gullet awaited the guests for the transfer to the Hilton in St. Julian’s. The luggage was taken care of by the DMC and was transferred in advance, directly to the hotel. __________________________________________________________________________________________ The incentive for the guests did not stop in Gozo, but took on a different aspect in the sister island of Malta. When the client came to plan the incentive with the DMC, it was crucial that Gozo played an important role in the programme. Being relatively un-touched and still raw in its beauty, Gozo does not hinder from exciting and innovative programmes being organised. In fact, the organisation of the Sailing Regatta and 4 x 4 Jeep Adventure are best organized on this island than in Malta, partly due to the fact that traffic is much less, as well as offering an escape into a relaxed realm of nature and breathtaking views. “Your People On Site in Malta” Registration C38542 On Site Malta Ltd© P a g e |3 “Your People On Site in Malta” Registration C38542 On Site Malta Ltd©
