In 1965, John D. Gray and Donald V. McCallum announced their plan to build a gem among the resorts and hotels in Oregon, and named the site Sunriver. Their dream was brought to life three years later in 1968 when Sunriver Realty sold its first home site, and the resort and residential community was unveiled as a place of casual, luxurious comfort. Today, the resort has become an essential vacation destination in the Pacific Northwest by staying true to its history and memorializing Camp Abbot’s founder, Colonel Frank S. Besson, by naming its popular event venue “Besson Commons.” Leadership The Sunriver Resort leadership team consists of the following industry influentials and hospitality veterans: ○○ Tom O’Shea, Managing Director ○○ Libby Nations, Director of Sales and Marketing ○○ Molly Johnson, Senior Marketing Manager sunriver-resort.com Caitlin Martz | TURNER PR | sunriver@turnerpr.com | (303) 333-1402 Dining at Sunriver Resort Sunriver Resort offers a variety of northwest dining options for every occasion.
