Sunriver Brewing Company - La Pine Chamber of Commerce
Your
“La Pine Rocks! ” Chamber Connection
“We are the hub of the business community, promoting commerce and tourism making La Pine a vibrant community to work, live and play!”
SUNRIVER BREWING COMPANY – Owner/Partners: Marc Cameron & Brian Cameron
So, Marc, when did you open the business? “We began a search for the right location after discussing the idea
of a family business and that led to a family partnership. Marc and mom Karol listened to Brian’s idea for a brew
pub. They looked at Portland, Hood River and then Bend for the right spot. But it was Sunriver that won out!
We all agreed and we waited to move into the location a few months ago!”
Who are the main players at Sunriver Brewing Company? “Brian’s background in hospitality and experience
as a bartender made him a natural for being in charge of the beers we serve. Dave Fleming is our beer consultant
and Matt Mulder brews the beers! Add in Chef Justin Hanson and Ryan Duley to run the house and we have
our team.”
Why do you work, live and play in South County? “Brian loved the Sunriver area and with all of the wonderful
renovations to the Village and the Lodge, not to mention the SHARC opening and the Oregon Observatory
making their mark on the South County area, it was a natural choice for people who love the area to settle here!”
What is the potential for growth for Sunriver Brewing? “Right now we brew our beers off site. From the sales
we have been experiencing we already know that there is a high demand for our products. That means growth!”
What is your business’s greatest challenge? “Producing enough product for sales.”
What is the biggest highlight of your career? “I am happy with locating here in the Village at Sunriver. Most
of our employees are from South County and support from the La Pine and Sunriver Chamber of Commerce
is allowing us to reach out to the South County area.”
What do you do to relax? “I do this! (Marc is working at the Sunriver Art Faire at a booth in the mall and he
is sharing his beers and food with visitors to the event.)”
Tell us something about yourself that few people know about: “I was a financial advisor with my company
The Angel Investment Group in White Salmon, WA. I employed 400 people and helped advise people with start- up projects and new businesses.”
In terms of volunteering in the community, what is your personal contribution to the community? “Although we are new to the area, we have joined both Chambers and plan to work to help the
communities here.”
What are your plans for the future? “Brew more beer and keep providing a great place to enjoy good food and great beer. We do offer a wide selection of beers in the Brewing Company. You will be able
to find something that is just right!”
Do you have a mission? “We will keep serving many beer choices and our four specially crafted beers: Stout, Amber, IPA and Pale Ale to provide the guests with great choices.”
