I love kidsilk haze because it ticks all my senses. It’s beautiful to look
at on the ball, lovely to knit and soft when it runs through my fingers.
Best of all its like a feather to wear and can be worn in both the
summer and winter.
Slovenia by Kaffe was so quick and simple to knit. It’s a classic shape
so it will last for years and not go out of fashion. It shows the colour
changes of the Kidsilk stripe brilliantly and I love wearing it as a
layering piece with my Jeans or even a dress.

I used to worry that Kidsilk haze was too fine and difficult to knit
with when I first started knitting but now I absolutely love working
with Kidsilk haze and find myself using this yarn a lot more in my
designing to create different textures and patterns.
The great thing about it is that it is so beautiful knitted on its own in
one of its many gorgeous shades, but also knitted in with other yarns,
such as felted tweed and kid classic to create new and exciting mixes
of colours and textures.
I chose Gisela as my favourite design as it’s such a wearable garment
and the ombre colour work in geometric patterning really shows how
well the shades in the yarn can mix together to create something a
little different.

For me this garment sums up all the qualities of Kidsilk Haze.
The design demonstrates the drape of this yarn and also how well it
lends itself to lacework. Beads work particularly well and add a touch
of glamour to this piece. It shows how versatile the combination of
beautiful yarn and good design can be as this garment would look
great with jeans or styled up for the evening.
How much do I love Kidsilk Haze...
it’s not for nothing that I am known as Kidsilkhazell this never fades
and draws me back in again and again ......................

The beauty of Kidsilk Haze is it’s lightness and delicious range of
shimmering, jewel-like colours. Kidsilk haze is so very versatile.
It can be knitted singly or doubled and has great yardage so goes an
awful long way. Lace patterns and beads in particular, look fantastic
when worked with this yarn.

I love kidsilk haze and use the yarn in my designs quite a lot. What
surprised me when looking back at my history of designs is I use
kidsilk haze mainly with other yarns, using it in colourwork, stripes
or doubling it up with another yarn.
It is so versatile in summer and winter which is why it is a design
favourite and why I have so many kidsilk haze garments in my
wardrobe! But as it’s the year of Kidsilk Haze I chose a design that
shows off this beautiful yarn. Open work lace shows the haze of the
mohair and you could change the look of the sweater with the colour
worn underneath.

Kidsilk Haze and Me, My name is Alison and I am addicted to Kidsilk
Haze. It is a highly addictive yarn – the chocolate of the yarn world.
I love it because of its versatility. Used alone, double, blended or
with other yarns, it has the capacity to morph into many different
applications and often the simpler the design or stitch, the more
effective this yarn becomes.
I saw this design knitted a lot when I worked for Rowan as a Design
Consultant. I knitted mine and wore it such a lot, I now need to knit
a new one!
I also used this pattern to encourage knitters to try Kidsilk Haze and
lace. They all went on to make lovely Birch shawls, and for this
reason, I rank this as an iconic Kidsilk Haze design: fairly economical,
not desperately hard, satisfying to knit – and very impressive to look
at and to wear.

Aimee was one of the first projects in production when I arrived at
Rowan and I remember how wonderful it felt to be working on such
stunning books.
My own design I am most pleased with is probably Glad as I love the
simplicity and versatility - with Kidsilk Haze you don’t have to do too
much as the yarn is so special!

fan and who LOVES Kidsilk Haze, and can also un do mistakes in
this yarn which very few can, has knitted this style seven times in

It’s a beautifully feminine design, delicate, floaty, lacy, and romantic,
making the most of these key characteristics of the yarn itself. It’s
wonderful to look through the projects for this pattern, seeing such

I imagine Sharon experiences great joy in having a connection though
