EL GATO SKATEBOARD CLASSIC COMPETITION
AND EXPO IN PALM SPRINGS
Eddie Elguera, Tony Hawk and skating’s legends to demo
at Palm Springs SkatePark on January 23-25
January 5, 2015, PALM SPRINGS-- P.S. Resorts has announced its sponsorship of the first
El Gato Skateboard Classic to be held January 23-25, at the Palm Springs SkatePark.
The three-day event brings together skateboarding legends for a series of demonstrations,
competitions, and a meet and greet dinner for the skaters and their fans.
Skateboarding legends scheduled to attend include Tony Hawk, Christian Hosoi, Steve
Caballero, Mike McGill, Kevin Stabb, and the event’s creator and host Palm Desert resident
and two-time world champion Eddie “El Gato” Elguera.
“P.S. Resorts is proud to be a sponsor of the first El Gato Skateboard Classic in Palm Springs,”
said Tim Ellis, vice-chairman of P.S. Resorts. “This is a unique opportunity to bring the legends
of this truly California sport to Palm Springs and to utilize the city’s popular skatepark. The
three-day event is a great way for visitors to experience Palm Springs and to see the world’s
top skateboarders up close.”
