Starting Sundays this fall: River Valley SCHOOL OF TRANSFORMATION Led by Roger and Myrna Eilers Based on the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry. The DVD curriculum focuses on developing a culture of revival and a lifestyle of the supernatural through teaching on our identity in Christ, how to walk in signs & wonders and Bible study. The school provides a safe place for activation and application of the principles taught. The Eilers will be here Sun., August 10 to present an overview and talk more details about the school. Here is a list of current small groups. Our regular Children ages 2-6th grade, youth, and adult classes are on summer hiatus and will return in the fall! The 18th annual RVCC garage giveaway is Saturday, September 6 from 9am-Noon. Essentially it is a big garage sale, except everything is free! Your donations of gently used clothing, household items, furniture, toys, baby things, dishware and much more, will be organized in the church foyer and sanctuary where others from the area come and take what they need free of charge. Donated items can be dropped off at RVCC the week prior to the event, starting Tuesday, Sep. 2. Gently used items accepted for the “Give” include: - Clothing of all types and sizes - Housewares and working small appliances - Furniture in good condition - Linens of all types - Toys, games, books - Baby items, clothing and accessories - Bicycles and sporting goods in working condition - CD’s, DVD’s, cassette & video tapes - Tools (power tools must work) - Paper grocery bags or plastic bags w/handles - Your time, your energy and your pickup truck! **NO EXERCISE EQUIPMENT WILL BE ACCEPTED!** Diana Hackett is the coordinator for the event and can answer any questions you may have. Girl Talk Facilitated by Cathy DeMar For: Ladies 18+ When: 1st and 4th Saturdays @RVCC Time: 9:30 A.M. to Noon Material: Becoming Myself: Embracing God’s Dream of You (Book & Study Guide) by Stasi Eldredge Our 7th Annual “Running of the BULLs” Men’s Retreat (at Birch Haven Christian Retreat Center near Hayward, WI) is for men ages 13+. This is always a great time of hanging out with other men for hearty meals, rest and relaxation, recreation, and growing in our relationship with Jesus and each other. We usually have morning and evening Bible studies, with the rest of the day free. Whether you're into biking, golfing, fishing, hiking, Packer pre-season games, or just sitting around the fire, there is something here for you. The retreat will begin with a 6:00pm supper on Fri., Aug. 15 and end around noon on Sun., Aug. 17. Cost is $100 and includes dinner each night, and breakfast each morning. Registration deadline is Sunday, August 3rd!! (We're MEN...we can deal with a deadline, right?) Things to bring: bedding (there are beds there but you will need your own blanket/sleeping bag & pillow), toiletries, Bible, bug spray, sunscreen, money (for any activities you decide to do) and any recreation equipment you'll need (i.e. fishing equipment-Wisconsin license required, golf clubs, motorcycle, lawn chair, bicycle, boat, lawn or board games, football, basketball, Frisbee, cards, sausage grinder, curling iron, Bedazzler, Etch-A-Sketch, etc.) Complete this registration form and turn in with the offering or give to the church office.
