As the Rohnert Park Business Community grows with the improving Sonoma County economy, we are here to help your business develop and expand. The Chamber continues to be managed by the Executive Management Team (EMT). The current members of the EMT are Steve McCaffrey, Thelma Kirkwood, Diem Tran, Andrea Rodriguez-Jereb, and Pam Stafford. Along with Lisa Bagwell, who handles the ongoing responsibilities at the Chamber office, the EMT helps to oversee the daily operations of the Chamber. The Chamber has openings for members to volunteer to be a Chamber Ambassador. Please contact the Chamber office for more details. In 2013, The Chamber has added four new distinguished Rohnert Park Business members to the Board of Directors. They are David Leonard of O’Brien Watters & Davis, Catherine Sullivan of Wal-Mart, Kelly Scullion of Foxtail Golf Club and Cully Williamson of Mary’s Pizza Shack in Rohnert Park. Besides his busy schedule running Mary’s, Cully was Rohnert Park’s 2013 recipient of The Spirit of Sonoma Award. Each of these individuals brings their unique expertise to the Board as well as their enthusiastic volunteerism. Also in 2013, we revived the Rohnert Park Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Tournament. The event was a big success and enjoyed by all. Be sure to mark your calendar for this year’s Tournament on July 16th. Additional events to look forward to this year include our Business Showcase on May 1 st and the Annual Holiday Lights on December 6th. At this time, the Chamber is updating the Community Map. As Rohnert Park continues to grow with Sonoma County as a tourism destination spot, the Community Map is an excellent opportunity to promote your business and attract new customers. To reserve your business’s advertisement space, please contact the Chamber office. The Community Map will be available for distribution at the Business Showcase as well the Chamber office and other locations throughout the city. Our Noon Times and Women in Business lunch meetings continue to be a popular place to socialize and engage with your fellow Chamber members. Just as a reminder, Noon Times is the first Wednesday and Women in Business is the second Tuesday of each month. We strive to attract informative and entertaining speakers. It is a great opportunity to stay up to date on issues that impact the Rohnert Park Business Community. The After Hours Mixer provides the ideal opportunity to meet and mingle with other businesses on the 3 rd week of every month. Our Annual Membership Drive will be September 17 th at Costco Wholesale. If someone you refer joins the Chamber and includes your name on their application, you will receive half off the price of one Noon Times or Women in Business Luncheon. Please feel free to contact the Chamber office with any membership opportunities. People stop in the Chamber offices every day that are looking for information about local businesses. Be sure to get your business information to the Chamber. It might just be what that visitor is looking for. We are here to promote your business! If you have not yet had the opportunity to get an overview of how Aflac can help your business and your valued employees, give Judi a call.
