Meet Lenny and Squiggy
By Alex:
Lenny and Squiggy are a double headed Hognose snake.
Luckily they were breed by a snake breeder in Virginia because
they would not be able to survive in the wild with two
different heads because with two heads it makes it very hard to
find a burrow so they would not have protection and then it
would die and it is a one of kind.

GUNTHERS TALE
By: Isabe!a
“Where am I?” Gunther opened his eyes
lazily. “You’re in the ER.,” said his
Mother in a worried voice. “You fell of
the monkey bars and broke your poor
little arm.” “We are gonna have to give
young Gunther some more sleeping
medication, so we can do the surgery,
you broke it pretty bad,” The head
doctor said calmly. He was a Thorny
Devil a kind of lizard Gunther had never
seen before.”Lay down honey, Relax,
you’ll be fine in four hours. Don’t worry.”
Gunther could tell his mom was
frightened, because of the tone of her
voice.
“Mom, Dad?” nobody was in the room,
only a skeleton of a lizard and some
tools. Gunther sat up, and looked
By Ethan:
Back in Ohio there was one man who was definitely not thinking. He
brought a lot of wild animals into his house. One day, his time came
and all of the animals escaped. So they put down all the of the
animals. The ones that survived went to the zoo. I think that this is
a very sad and dramatic story to the world. He made a bad decision.
It’s recommend that you not do what he did.

U.S. Report Card
By: Avery
Every two years “officials” come around and test students of
different grade levels. This year they tested 422,000 fourth
graders and 343,000 eighth graders. The students had to read
books and papers according to there grade level during the
months of January and March. For the math test the eight
graders got tested on geometry and algebra, and the fourth
graders were tested on number properties and measurements
(areas, perimeter etc.) As the results came back students scored the highest scores in math ever recorded
since 1990.But there reading scores did not improve much though. When the reading test was corrected
the average score for the fourth grade was 221 out of 500 points and the eight graders scored an average
of 265 out of 500 points! So in the next 2 years teachers are trying to increase the reading level and keep
boosting the math results up!
Deep Fried Coke
By Avery:
Deep Fried Coke, crazy right? Thats a new
food
that
is
being
sold
at
carnivals,fairs,and amusement parks! Deep
fried coke is frozen coca-cola batter with
cinnamon and coke syrup all fried into one
cup,then topped with whip-cream and a
cherry. It is estimated to have 830
calories per cup. This invention could be
genius to some people but horrific to
others. It is becoming very popular in states like Texas,Nebraska and Florida. The
Texas state fair, actually sold 10,000 cups of fried coke can you even think of how
much fat is in that? This invention seems just as bad as deep fried butter, yet when
Homemade Business
By: Brianna
We went through many classes asking if anyone had created a homemade business. Many
people did but we had to choose one student to focus on. We
picked Tanya Bills. Her homemade business is babysitting.
Tanya only sometimes enjoys babysitting because the kids can
sometimes be mean to her. The kids that she babysits come
from her church and our school. The ages that she babysits
are 2-5 year olds. So if you need a babysitter talk to Tanya!

Emilie Webb is an amazing
owner of her creative locker!
Emilie’s locker is cool,
homemade and looks like
you’re outside, when ever you
look into it! When I sat down
with Emilie and asked her a
few questions about her
locker I got some very
creative answers! Emilie’s
locker has a wonderful
style just like Emilie does!
She said if she had to
choose her favorite part
about her locker its
definitely the green grass
because it ties it all together
and makes it look like its
outdoors! Her locker
originally was going to have a
design off of a website called
LockerLooks. After seeing that
everything was so expensive
she decided she could just
home-make everything herself!
The main key to keeping her
locker cute and neat at all
times is putting things back
were they belong and making
sure they all have a place! She
also said that her locker is very
easy to find because she has a
name tag-on it! Emilie started
to plan for her locker in the
summer, a month before school
started! So if you see Emilie
any time soon just remember
how awesome the inside of her
locker looks!

Cool Stuff
By: Taylor
Girls really seem to be in to accessories these days! There are hats, necklaces, earrings and so
much more!
The first accessory I recommend is a cupcake hat . This hat is in style yet keeps your
head comfy and warm! You can find cupcake hats on the internet and the might have them
in the winter at places like Forever 21 !
Next there is a very cute scissor necklace! This necklace is silver so it can match
any clothing style. Don’t worry, the scissors can’t cut, so you’re
completely safe!
The last item, that might just be the cutest is these small, not edible
Bacon earrings! They are so cute that even though they aren’t edible you might
just gobble them up. These earrings are on line.
Gunther Continued...
“There!” He could see his Mother & Father out of a
glass window, in the waiting room. The doctor came to
get his parents . Gunther quickly sat down and
pretended to sleep. “He should be awake by now,
right?” His mom said. “Yep! But he might feel a little
woozy, the medicine was pretty strong.” The Doctor
said firmly. “Oh, our little Gunther I hope he’ll be
alright.” Gunther decided to get up from his pretend
sleep.” “How are you feeling?” The Doctor questioned. “Fine, but my arm hurts a bit.” “That’s
natural, It’s gonna hurt.” The Doctor responded. “Let’s get this trooper into the car and go
home. “ Dad lifted Gunther into the lizard mobile. “Can we watch Lizitar tonight?”

Athlete of the Month
By Zach:
Welcome to the track with the Athlete of the month. Anthony joined cross country when
it came up at school he had 1 month of training when he decided to get fit. He is proud of
his work and he is joining again next year.
“I’ve improved a ton over the one month time, and I’m am proud of it” he said. When
Anthony was told he was athlete of the month he got very exited and proud, but not too
proud. He doesn’t feel like champion of the world. “ Cross country means getting in shape
and going further than your average distance to me.”
If you’re looking to be the next athlete of the month, you have to learn from the best. “If
the going gets tough, keep on running.”
