PASTORAL REFLECTION
A voice came from heaven, "You are my beloved
Son; with you I am well pleased." In Baptism, the
Holy Spirit descended upon us. God looks upon
us as beloved daughters and sons. In every
Eucharist, we ask the Spirit to deepen our
identity as sons and daughters of God. Jesus'
Body and Blood enters our flesh and blood,
grasps us by the hand, and invites us to hold
onto God and one another. Live St. Francis de
Sales' words, "Keep a tight grasp of Christ's
hand. Whenever you find yourself with more
than you can handle, do not panic, but look to
Christ."

Catholic Daughters Community Outreach
Circle4Support is a volunteer organization helping Mills
County residents facing situations that seem overwhelming,
such as financial, physical, or emotional difficulties. This
support group meets Thursday evenings at the Methodist
Church at 5 pm for a simple meal and an opportunity to
share ideas and develop support and relationships within
our community.
We recognize this as an opportunity for us parish to come
together and provide dinner once a month. Therefore, we
are asking for other groups support by preparing the meal
in the month of your choice. Sign-up is available this
weekend. Please call the office with questions.
Living Mercy in the Jubilee Year of Mercy - Pope Francis called of God to pour
out his mercy upon us "like the morning dew, so that everyone may work together
to build a brighter future." What images come to mind when you think of morning
dew? Of a fresh day? Of newness? Could there be a parallel with baptism?

Adoration Must Be Greatly Promoted
The reservation of the Eucharist permits the
practice of adoring this great Sacrament and
offering it the worship due to God. Accordingly,
forms of adoration that are not only private but also
public and communitarian in nature, as established
or approved by the Church herself, must be greatly
promoted.
