Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church
Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church The Baptism of the Lord January 10, 2016 Fr. Dan Siepker - After hours (712) 527-9115 Email: frsip@yahoo.com Rev. Mr. Ron Kohn (712) 527-4032 Cathy Evans, Parish Secretary Jane Buckley, Bookkeeper Theresa Romens, Faith Formation Janet Lunning, Montessori Pre-School Ali Crawley, Custodian Anne Smith & Sharon Osterholm, Music Coordinators PASTORAL REFLECTION A voice came from heaven, "You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased." In Baptism, the Holy Spirit descended upon us. God looks upon us as beloved daughters and sons. In every Eucharist, we ask the Spirit to deepen our identity as sons and daughters of God. Jesus' Body and Blood enters our flesh and blood, grasps us by the hand, and invites us to hold onto God and one another. Live St. Francis de Sales' words, "Keep a tight grasp of Christ's hand. Whenever you find yourself with more than you can handle, do not panic, but look to Christ." 24116 Marian Avenue Glenwood, IA 51534 Church Office Phone 712-527-5211 FAX 712-527-3829 E-mail holyrosarych@msn.com Bulletins online: www.holyrosaryglenwood.com Daily Eucharistic Adoration - 5 am - 12 midnight Parish Mission Statement: "To come to Christ and lead others to Christ" Journey Together! Catholic Daughters Community Outreach Circle4Support is a volunteer organization helping Mills County residents facing situations that seem overwhelming, such as financial, physical, or emotional difficulties. This support group meets Thursday evenings at the Methodist Church at 5 pm for a simple meal and an opportunity to share ideas and develop support and relationships within our community. We recognize this as an opportunity for us parish to come together and provide dinner once a month. Therefore, we are asking for other groups support by preparing the meal in the month of your choice. Sign-up is available this weekend. Please call the office with questions. Living Mercy in the Jubilee Year of Mercy - Pope Francis called of God to pour out his mercy upon us "like the morning dew, so that everyone may work together to build a brighter future." What images come to mind when you think of morning dew? Of a fresh day? Of newness? Could there be a parallel with baptism?
