ICE RESURFACING MACHINES IN 2012 IIHF ICE HOCKEY WORLD
CHAMPIONSHIP
The 2012 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship was held 4-20 May. The
championship was organized in co-operation with Finland and Sweden. The
preliminary round and ¼ final games were played in Helsinki and Stockholm and
the final weekend with medal round in Helsinki.
Spring time and tournament format with 2-3 games a day together with
practices of eight teams causes great stress for the ice of the game and practice
arenas. To reduce the stress the organizer operates closely with the arena ice
management staff to provide best possible conditions for the players to perform
their best.
In Helsinki the games were played in Hartwall Arena. The Hartwall Arena ice
management team with Erno Raekumpu did great job in providing the facilities
for the championship. One of the choices Raekumpu made was having the Engo
230 Red Tiger electric ice resurfacing machines to clean the ice. Harwall Arena,
Local Organizer and the IIHF were very satisfied with the quality the Engo
company’s machines provided for the event. We warmly recommend the
machines for similar use in ice sport related arenas.
Best regards,
2012 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship

Testimonial
The 2012 MasterCard Memorial Cup held in Shawinigan was a huge success across
the board. Part of this success is attributable to the Team Gemec Group / Joe
Johnson Equipment and their Electric Engo Ice Resurfacers. These powerful Electric
Ice Resurfacers worked brilliantly through the duration of the event.
The superior technology of these Ice Resurfacers has been instrumental in
resurfacing/rebuilding the ice by the precise control of the amount of water deployed
and the blade depth adjustments through a touch screen. Also the quick blade
change system does not require any bolts to fasten making it safe for all to use. In
fact all these state of the art functions had definitely given the operators a sense of
trust and security with the precision required to complete this event.

ENGO ICE RESURFACING MACHINE
Dear Sir / Madam
Ice Tech UK are the leading supplier of ice rink equipment and services to the Rink
Industry of the United Kingdom. Our supply to this industry has been established
since the mid 1990’s and the combined experience of both senior partners spans over
40 years in this very niche market.
We supply ice resurfacing machines although our market is extremely small compared
to say, the ice rink industry of North America.
In 2008 Ice Tech UK made our first acquisition of an Engo Resurfacing Machine. The
unit was bought specifically for the outdoor ice rink at Somerset House, London. This
is the UK’s busiest ice rink accommodating some 2500 skaters per day for a 10 week
period every winter. We carry out a minimum of 11 ice cleans per day over a 15 minute
interval. The rink is nominally 900 square metres.
I have been extremely impressed with the Engo machine and I am pleased to say that it
has proven to be a thoroughly worthwhile investment. We have enjoyed 4 trouble free
years of operation with exceptional reliability in all kinds of weather conditions. This is
testament to the robust design and the professional construction of the machine.
The Somerset House Ice Rink can be compared directly with the Rockafella in New
York. In my opinion, these rinks by their very nature place greater demands on ice rink
equipment, particularly the resurfacing machine. The Engo has outperformed other
machines that we have used in the previous 8 years of operation including Zamboni’s,
Olympia’s and WM’s.
With over 1000 working hours on the machine, the battery works as if it were brand
new and the chassis, bodywork and mechanical parts are all functioning correctly.
I would and do recommend the Engo Ice Resurfacing Machines to all prospective
buyers and would urge you to consider this brand very carefully. The after-sales care
provided by Engo has been second to none and we look forward to sharing in the
development of the company, as more and more customers embrace this great
machine.

REFERENZSCHREIBEN
letzten Jahr die „IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships Group B 2007“ immer wieder zukommen
OLYMPIA WORLD INNSBRUCK wünscht Euch und Eurem ganzen Team weiterhin viel Erfolg denn
Ihr seid auf dem richtigen Weg.
Mit freundlichen Grüße

Engo Elettra 230
Dear Mr Profanter
It already has been a while since you delievered your ice resurfacer Engo Elettra 230.
It was really a pleasure to go through the evaluation period and to finally decide, that we will
order your above mentioned machine.
After two seasons of using the Engo, we must admit to have taken the absolute right decision
and in case our second resurfacer will have to be exchanged, we will, with no doubt, buy
another machine from your company.
The whole evaluation and delivery process was accompanied by you and your employees
with great professionalism and we were able to count on liability and punctuality regarding
the quality of Engo including the delivery date and terms. My employees hesitated to agree
to the purchase of an electrical driven vehicle, but it has proven, that our other resurfacer is
hardly used and everybody wants to ride on your Engo Elettra. What a better reference can
there be? Also the after sales service is reliable, fast and of good quality.
Again, we thank you for your high professionalism and we are looking forward to making further business with your company.
Yours sincerely
