From cake selection to the design of the perfect bridal bouquet, we will create the
wedding of your dreams. The Fairmont Kea Lani also offers on-site, professional
salon and spa services.

About The Fairmont Kea Lani ~ Maui
Hawaii’s only all-suite and villa luxury resort rests on Maui’s famed Polo Beach.
The Fairmont Kea Lani opened in December of 1991 in a setting lavish with
tropical greenery and flowers. A gleaming white exterior makes a spectacular
sight against the clear blue skies of Wailea, known for its exceptionally sunny
climate.
Our one-bedroom suites offer a spacious 860 square feet of living space and
private lanais (balconies). The living room features a double sized sofa bed, full
entertainment system including a DVD player and High-Speed Internet Access.
The large marble bathroom contains double pedestal sinks, a deep soaking tub
and walk-in shower. A wet bar, microwave oven, coffee maker and compact
refrigerator are standard in all suites.
The 37 two and three-bedroom villas are just steps away from spectacular Polo
Beach. The two-bedroom villa is 1,800 square feet and the three-bedroom
villa embodies 2,200 square feet. In addition to providing all the amenities
available in the suites, these two-story oceanfront retreats feature a private lanai
with plunge pool, deluxe barbeque grill, second bathroom, washer and dryer and
a complete kitchen.
The Fairmont Kea Lani offers three crystalline pools which are great places to
relax and enjoy your self. There are two lagoon-style pools connected by a 140foot waterslide and a separate adults-only pool.

Pacific Terrace
The Pacific Terrace overlooks the beach and Pacific Ocean. This location offers a
truly beautiful Hawaiian setting, with the islands of Lanai, Molokini and
Kahoolawe in the background. This location is ideal for beautiful sunset
ceremonies with the expanse of the Pacific Ocean as your backdrop. Beach and
sunset photos can be taken following your wedding ceremony. The Pacific
Terrace can accommodate a maximum of (50) guests seated, depending on the
size of your bridal party.
Just in case there is rain on your special day.
Wailea is located on the south side of the island and averages
approximately ten inches of rain annually. In the unlikely event
that it rains on your special day, your wedding may be relocated
to the 4th or 6th Floor Alcove.
Our 4th and 6th Floor Alcoves provide breathtaking ocean views
with large arched open-air breezeways that allow you to capture
the outdoor beauty even when indoors. The Alcoves can
accommodate a maximum of 50 guests seated.
Tropical Gazebo
Our Tropical Gazebo is located at the foot of our three-tiered Royal Fountain
Terrace. It is a semi-private and secluded area, with fresh Hawaiian flowers.
This location offers a garden setting with a white arched Gazebo, a central water
fountain feature and tall cyprus trees for your intimate wedding ceremony.
Following the ceremony, oceanfront photographs can be taken on the beach
followed by couple sunset photos. The Tropical Gazebo can accommodate
approximately 100 guests seated or 120 guests standing.

The unique Ka Male ‘Ana Hawai’i package has been developed to emulate an ancient Hawaiian
wedding ceremony that may have taken place over three hundred years ago, creating a lasting tie
to the islands for you, your families and friends. This special ceremony is performed by a Kahu
(Hawaiian minister) who is the great, great grandson of Queen Ka'ahumanu, the favorite wife of
Hawai’i’s first king, Kamehameha.

Happily ever after begins with a wedding at The Fairmont Kea Lani. We offer
distinctive experiences to ensure that your day is memorable. As every couple is
unique, we feature authentic touches tailored specifically to your needs. You can
create your wedding at the resort to be traditionally elegant, contemporary or
with Hawaiian flare. When you decide that the resort is the perfect location for
your special day, please contact one of our Wedding Planners. At The Fairmont
Kea Lani ~ Maui your celebration will unfold with unrivaled presence and
breathtaking beauty in our corner of paradise.
WHAT DOES YOUR WEDDING PLANNER DO?
Your Fairmont Kea Lani Wedding Planner will take you through all aspects of the
wedding planning process. Working closely with you, your planner will be your
contact for the wedding ceremony, reception, and other wedding related
activities. She will help provide you with ideas on types of flower bouquets,
musicians or entertainment, and menu selections for your special day. When you
have decided on a date and time, your Wedding Planner will make your wedding
license, hair and make-up and spa treatment appointments. You can relax while
your Fairmont Kea Lani Wedding Planner creates the wedding of your dreams.
HOW DO WE RESERVE OUR WEDDING DATE?
When you have decided on the wedding package that best suits your needs and
have a chosen date, contact your Wedding Planner for a personalized Catering
Agreement. The amount of the deposit includes 50% of the wedding package plus
25% of your estimated food and beverage for the reception. Upon receipt of the
signed Catering Agreement and deposit, your wedding date is set!
To host your wedding at the Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui, we do require a minimum
two-night stay for the bride and groom. Contact 1-800-659-4100 for suite and
villa accommodations.
MUSICIANS AND ENTERTAINMENT
The resort can arrange for all of your entertainment needs. Electrical power
needs will be charged based on final requirements with a minimum charge of
$200.00 per event. There will be an additional fee of $500.00 for a dance floor
and staging charges will apply.
FLOWERS AND DÉCOR
Our Wedding Planners are happy to assist you in selecting and designing your
wedding flowers and site décor. If you have a photo of a particular bouquet or
floral arrangement, our florist will be happy to re-create it for you.
MARRIAGE LICENSE
To obtain a marriage license on Maui, you will need a valid government issued
photo I.D. (drivers license or passport) and $70.00 in cash. Both the Bride and
Groom must be present in attendance at the marriage license office. Your
Wedding Planner will be delighted to arrange your appointment.
ADDITIONAL EVENTS TO ENHANCE YOUR CELEBRATION
The Fairmont Kea Lani ~ Maui offers many event options to enhance your
celebration. The resort concierge also offers a wide array of other activities that
can be booked thorough our activities desk located in the main lobby. For your
dining pleasure, please be sure to make a reservation at Kō Restaurant or Nick’s
Fishmarket.

Spa Kea Lani's menu of restorative treatments and massages provide relaxation
and rejuvenation in paradise. Caring and professional licensed aestheticians and
therapists use treatments derived from the East and West, and embrace the
healing arts of the ancient Hawaiians. The 5,500 square-foot spa also contains
separate locker rooms for men and women each with marble steam rooms for use
before and after treatments. Massages are also available in an outdoor cabana
and most treatments can be experienced in the privacy of a suite or villa including
a romantic aromatherapy bath for two utilizing the beautiful oversized bathtub in
the suites.
Spa Kea Lani features a wide assortment of massages, facials and body
treatments that can be experienced à la carte or in packages designed with some
of the most popular offerings.
ELLY'S FORMALWEAR & BRIDALS
Located 15 minutes from the hotel at Sugar Beach, Elly’s Formalwear & Bridals
can assist you with your wedding attire steaming/pressing needs. Wedding gown
pressing charges start at $45, up to $175 depending on the fabric, beadings, and
style. The turn around time is normally 24 hours however if you want it done the

It is our pleasure to offer you custom menus featuring organic & sustainable ingredients from our Fairmont Lifestyle Cuisine program. Our Catering & Convention Services Managers would be pleased to provide you with further information on these selections. The Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui is committed to your health & well being by preparing all cuisine without artificial trans‐fat. The first hotel company to formally commit to using, wherever possible, sustainable, locally sourced & organically grown products as a part of everyday food service operations, menus across the Fairmont portfolio reflect a focus on fresh cuisine. Fairmont has taken the proactive step of reviewing its purchasing & food sourcing practices to see in which areas more sustainable choices can be incorporated, both at a hotel & a corporate level. Fairmont’s Green Partnership encourages guests to think green when traveling & offering healthful & delicious menu choices that highlight organic wines & the use of local purveyors. Consumers today are increasingly interested in where their food is sourced & how it is produced. Fairmont Hotels & Resorts also offers organic or biodynamic wines from producers such as Bonterra Vineyards, the world’s leading producer of wines made from certified organically grown grapes.
All food & beverage must be purchased exclusively from The Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui & consumed in designated function areas. The Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui is the only licensed authority to serve & sell alcoholic beverages on the grounds; therefore, all food & beverage must be purchased through the resort. The Department of Health prohibits the hotel from allowing food to be removed from the function location. No corkage fees are allowed.
Allergy Clause
In the event that any of the guests in your group have food allergies, you shall inform us of the names of such persons & the nature of their allergies, in order that we can take the necessary precautions when preparing their food. We undertake to provide on request, full information on the ingredients of any items served to your group.
Should you not provide the names of the guests & the nature of their food allergies, you shall indemnify & hold us forever harmless from & against, any & all liability or claim of liability for any personal injury that occurs as a direct result of our negligence or any of our representatives. In the event of such negligence by us, or any of our representatives, we shall be responsible for all expenses reasonably incurred in the defense of such liability or claim of liability.
Plated Meals
For all plated meal functions with a guarantee of less than twenty (20) guests, there will be a minimum labor charge of $300.00 plus tax. A surcharge for buffet functions below the minimum requirements will be calculated based on final counts.
Should your guaranteed final attendance be significantly less than your tentative count, the hotel reserves the right to move your event to a more suitable location to better serve your guests. There will be an additional $10.00 per person fee charged for plated meals at Lobby Mezzanine, Palm Court & Royal Fountain Terrace. Please consult with your Catering & Convention Services Manager for more details. 5
Banquet Policy Information
Multi‐Entrée When choosing multiple plated entrées, the entrée with the highest price will apply. An accurate count of each meal is required 72 hours prior to the event. Buffets
Banquet buffets offer limited quantities of food. Food preparation is based on one serving per person. Additional servings may be purchased at appropriate prices (please note the minimum number of people required for buffets). All buffets have a two‐hour time limit due to the weather elements & effects on food. Food can be refreshed for extensions on this time limit at a cost of $10.00 per person, per hour.

Banquet Policy Information
Service Charge & Sales Tax All banquet food, beverages, service, labor & miscellaneous charges are subject to a 21% service charge & a Hawaii State Excise Tax, currently 4.166% (subject to change). The 22% service charge is allocated as follows: 6% will be retained by The Fairmont Kea Lani as an administrative fee. This portion is not a tip or gratuity and will not be distributed to the service staff. 15% will be distributed to the service staff as a tip or gratuity. If you or your attendees would like to leave an additional amount of tip or gratuity for the service staff, please feel free to do so. If you have any questions regarding the administrative fee, please feel free to ask the manager of your banquet or event coordinator.
Guarantees
A five‐business day advance guarantee of the number of people attending all food functions is required. Guarantees for functions occurring on Monday must be provided by 12:00 noon the previous Monday. We will overset by 5% (tables & chairs) & we will be prepared to serve 2% over your final guarantee. You will be charged for your guaranteed guest count, or your actual guest attendance, whichever is greater. If you do not provide a food guarantee by five‐business days prior, the “Number Expected”
as indicated on the Banquet Event Order, will be the final guarantee.
Inclement Weather
Weather Calls: If the likelihood of rain is 40% or greater the Hotel will strongly recommend an event be moved into back up space or to a different location. The Catering and Conference Service Manager will contact their client in advance to advise them of the any adverse weather conditions and Hotel recommendations. The standard weather call schedule is as follows: • Breakfast ‐ final weather calls will be made the night prior by 7:00 pm. If last minute inclement weather hampers early morning function set up, the banquet captain will move the function to the back up location and notify the client.
• Lunch ‐ final weather calls will be made by 9:30 am the day of the event.
• Dinner ‐ final weather call will be made by 1:00 pm the day of the event.
In the event the client declines to move their function to a different location as recommended, and weather conditions require the function to be moved at the last minute or during the event, a $10.00 per person labor fee will be incurred. In the event the client declines to move their function to a different location as recommended, but requests tables, chairs and linen to be pre‐set in back up space to shorten transition delays, a $7.00 per person charge will be incurred. As always, the Hotel reserves the
right to move functions as necessary to maintain the safety and security of Hotel guests and colleagues.
Curfew There is a 9:00 pm curfew for all outdoor functions at the Gazebo, Lower Lagoon Lawn, Pacific Terrace, Palm Court, Polo Lawn, Royal Fountain Terrace & Ballroom Foyer. 7

Setup & Breakdown Fee
For food & beverage functions at the Gazebo, Lower Lagoon Lawn, Pacific Terrace, Palm Court, Polo Lawn & Royal Fountain Terrace locations, please add an additional $7.00 per person. Sound System Polo Lawn has a “state‐of‐the‐art” sound system. All entertainers are required to utilize this system & adhere to the Maui County Noise Ordinance. The charge for this sound system is $550.00 plus tax. This includes a sound technician & one wired microphone. Entertainers must bring their own DI (Direct Interface) box & a backup sound system in the event the function is moved to another area due to weather or other circumstances. Noise level is a maximum of sixty (60) decibels. No other sound systems are permitted in this area. Amplification Amplified sound is not permitted prior to 9:00 am or after 9:00 pm at the Ballroom Foyer, Kō Restaurant, Gazebo, Lower Lagoon Lawn, Pacific Terrace, Palm Court, Polo Lawn, & Royal Fountain Terrace. No amplification of sound is permitted in the Lobby Mezzanine. Chef / Attendant Fees If your function requires the use of a Chef or Attendant, a charge of $150.00 per chef or attendant, per hour, based on a minimum of two hours, will be charged to your Master Account. The number of chefs will vary, depending on guest count & responsibilities.
Bartender There will be a minimum guarantee of $250.00 in revenue, per hour, per bar. In the event that the minimum is not reached (average of total hours), a bartender charge of $150.00 plus tax per bartender, per hour, will be charged to the Master Account. One bartender is staffed per every 100 guests. Should you wish to deviate from our standard staffing guideline, a $150.00 plus tax, per bartender, per hour charge will apply. We welcome our clients to inventory the bars before & after the function.
Due to Hawaii State Liquor Laws, it is required that all guests have valid identification to consume alcoholic beverages. We require that all of your guests carry their identification with them to the function, as they are required to show proof of legal drinking age. The hotel reserves the right to refuse service to any guest that may appear to be intoxicated. Entertainment The resort can arrange for all your entertainment needs. Electrical power needs will be charged based on final requirements with a minimum charge of $200.00 per event.

Dressing Rooms Dressing rooms may be provided for entertainers at $150.00 plus service charge & tax, per dressing room. Chairs, tables, mirror, lighting & a water station will be provided as needed. Decorations Decorations may not be affixed to walls, ceilings, or doorways. Extra cleaning costs, as a result of damage to equipment or structure, will be applied to your account. Signage Any signage on resort property must be pre‐approved by the resort prior to posting. Banners & signs will not be allowed in public areas. Raising of flags from our flag pole is not permitted. Please consult your Catering & Convention Services Manager. The posting of any items (posters, signs, etc.) on any function room walls or doors is strictly prohibited. Arrangements can be made for easels or corkboards. Security The resort will not be responsible for the damage or loss of any equipment or articles left in the resort prior to, during, or following a Banquet function. Arrangements must be made in advance for security of exhibits, merchandise, valuables, or articles set up for display.
Keys will be provided for securing office, storage or hospitality space. For any un‐returned keys, there will be a $200.00 charge to re‐key the room. Please provide your request for the number of keys needed no less than 10 days prior to usage date. Offices
Should you require office space, a minimum cleaning fee if $25.00 per day will be charged to the group’s Master Account at the conclusion of your program. Additional charges may apply as a result of any physical damage to the office space or excessive cleaning required. Cancellations Please refer to your sales contract for food & beverage attrition or cancellation policies specific to your group. In the event that any scheduled food & beverage function should be cancelled (7) seven days to 72 business hours prior to the event, 50% of estimated food & beverage revenue will be charged, plus any charges incurred from outside vendors (i.e. bartenders, décor, fireworks, etc.). If the event is cancelled within 72 business hours prior to the function, 100% of all estimated charges will be charged. 9
