Welcome to Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens! From a board meeting
of 10 to a gala of 1,500, Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens has it all!
Our dedicated and experienced sales and event team will help you in every step
of the way to ensure your event is a success! With our nationally recognized
culinary team, we will create a meal your taste buds won’t forget! Our
attention to detail and culinary techniques will bring you back for seconds.
OUTSIDE FOOD AND BEVERAGE
Central Florida Zoo & Botantical Gardens maintains the exclusive right to provide all food
and beverage and concession service. Any exceptions must be requested and permission
obtained by prior written approval of the General Manager and/or Director of Catering.
Food items may not be taken off the premises; however, excess prepared food may be
donated under regulated conditions to agencies feeding the underprivileged at the Zoo’s sole
discretion.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE SAMPLING
Central Florida Zoo & Botantical Gardens exhibitors may distribute food and beverage
samples in authorized space and must not be in competition with products or services
offered by Central Florida Zoo & Botantical Gardens . Samples must be representative of
products manufactured or sold by the company exhibiting. Free samples are limited to 2
ounces of non-alcoholic beverages and 2 ounces of a food sample. Exact descriptions of
sample and portion size must be submitted to the Zoo’s Catering Office for written approval
14 days prior to the opening of the event.
The distribution of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited unless provided by Central
Florida Zoo & Botantical Gardens. Any exhibitor giving away and/or selling food in their
booth must have a permit and all appropriate fees on file with the Florida Department of
Health.
BEVERAGE SERVICE
Central Florida Zoo & Botantical Gardens offers a complete selection of beverages to
complement your function. The Florida Alcohol and Beverage Commission regulates
alcohol and beverage services. As a licensee we are responsible for the administration of
these regulations. Alcoholic beverages may not be brought onto the premises from outside
sources without prior consent of the General Manager or Director of Catering. If approval
is received, a corkage fee will be accessed. We reserve the right to ask patrons for proper
identification for alcoholic beverage service. We reserve the right to refuse alcohol service
to intoxicated or underage persons. Alcoholic beverages may not be removed from the
premises.
DIETARY CONSIDERATIONS
Central Florida Zoo & Botantical Gardens is happy to address special dietary requests for
individual guests. The Zoo will automatically prepare 1:100 vegetarian dinners for plated
served dinners prepared in the overset.

CHINA SERVICE
China service is standard for all catering services, unless noted on the contract. With coffee
services, Ovations will set out at least 10% disposable ware for guests.
LINEN
All banquet prices include white, black or vanilla standard table linens and our standard
linen napkins. Additional colors and patterns are available for both table linens and napkins
for an additional charge.
MENU SELECTIONS
Choose a menu from the preceding suggestions or have us custom design a menu for your
particular needs. Menus for food functions must be finalized at least ten (10) business days
prior to the event.
CATERING SUPPLEMENTAL FEE AND TAXES
A 20% catering supplement fee, 6% state sales tax (food and non-alcoholic beverages), 6%
sales tax (alcoholic beverages) will be applied to all food and beverages purchased.
GUARANTEES
A final guarantee of attendance is required three business days prior to all food and beverage
events. In the event of a split entrée, the client is responsible to Central Florida Zoo &
Botantical Gardens for the exact count of each item five working days prior to the event.
Split menus, which are not included in a package, are to be charged at the higher entrée
price. Billing will be based on either your minimum guarantee (even if fewer guests actually
attend) or the actual guest count, whichever is greater. The final guarantee can be increased
up to two working days prior to your event with approval.
BILLING
The deposit and final payments will be outlined in the contract. A $200 non-refundable
Save the Date deposit will be due to reserve the room. Final payments for the event are due
three business days prior to the event start date.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Any cancellations that occur after the contract date and up to 90 days before the event will
forfeit 50% of their deposit. A cancellation 30 days before the event forfeits the total amount
of the event.
