What does this mean? The new model is focused on the patients and residents as a community living space at Color-Goldwater. The hospital is working to create an environment that is inviting, home-like and celebrates the lives, Patients enjoy a game of air hockey talents and interests of the ColorGoldwater community. Vitamix smoothies are made ready to be enjoyed activities and enhancements to the environment. As patients and residents make more decisions over their daily lives, their sense of self and control over their lives improves significantly. Stronger relationships have been nurtured between residents and staff and have fostered a thriving and healthy community. Some of the most important steps towards the new social model have been sponsored by Angelica. One way Angelica has helped is by empowering patients to take a more active role in their care and daily life as committee members of the Angelica Patient Committee.
