However, as I grew more into my love for rock music I discovered that I really loved another alternative rock/metal band called Disturbed. I first heard the music of Disturbed in 1998 and I was blown away to learn that the four members are born and raised right here in Chicago, Illinois! In 1994, when the original name for band was Brawl, the four members were: vocalist Erich Awalt, guitarist Dan Donegan, drummer Mike Wengren, and bassist Steve “Fuzz” Kmak. Brawl didn’t last too long because the vocalist Erich Awalt left in 1996. Later that year, the three remaining members searched for a new vocalist and they were blown away by the audition of a man named David Draiman. Guitarist Dan Donegan spoke about his thoughts regarding Draiman’s singing voice. He said, “I remember when he walked in the room and once he began, I was blown away! He just started banging out these amazing melodies that literally took my breath away. I knew at that moment we needed this guy because he had pipes of magnificence!” So, at the end of ’96, David Draiman was hired as the band’s new vocalist and together they changed the name to Disturbed. After re-naming the band, Disturbed began to record their first studio album in 1998. In the year 2000, the band, whose musical genres include heavy metal, nu metal, and alternative rock, Disturbed released their first studio album titled ‘The Sickness’. Hit songs from ‘The Sickness’ were “Stupify”, “Voices” and “Down with the Sickness”. In February 2001, the band recorded their second studio album ‘Believe’. Hits from that album include “Prayer”, “Liberate”, “Remember” and the title track “Believe”. In 2005, Disturbed released their third studio album entitled ‘Ten Thousand Fists’, which produced smash hits such as “Guarded”, “Stricken”, the title track “Ten Thousand Fists” and a cover of the highly recognized song by Genesis “Land of Confusion”. Three years later, after nothing at all, Disturbed released their fourth studio album ‘Indestructible’. This album cranked out shocking smash hits like “Inside the Fire”, “The Night”, “Deceiver”, and the electrifying title track “ Indestructible”. Disturbed is set to release a fifth studio album this year in the Summer entitled ‘Decade of Disturbed’. So, I will keep my eyes and ears open and as soon as I see or hear anything regarding the fifth studio album from one of Chicago’s ultimate alternative rock/ heavy metal bands of this decade, I will seize my opportunity to grab myself a copy! Until next time, I’m Anna W. Read about me later!!! Also, Disturbed hired another bassist named John Moyer in 2005 because Steve “Fuzz” Kmak was kicked out for personal reasons. Over and Out!!!! S. Nine persons including Jevon and this writer (sportswriting), Robert (Bob) S., and staff leader Maryam S, clients including Sammy S., Paul, and Erin attended the Adler Planetarium Astronomy Museum Tuesday, the sixteenth of March, twenty ten. I was fascinated by learning that Pluto has no storms, Georgia Robinson, is my case . I’m on Planet Earth. And we, Neumann, Victor C., visited the moon. Jupiter was so explosive. The historical “stage” was that Buzz Aldrich, I think, went off. The flight was recorded in the “World’s Greatest Newspaper,” The Chicago Tribune on Saturday, December, twenty first of 1968. They, the Adler Planetarium Astronomy Museum had a lunchroom area. The Galileo Café. I ordered Ms. Vickie’s salted potato chips.. They had no cholesterol and little if any sugar. It was exciting to see the many exhibits. When asked how many persons pass through the “special” Adler Planetarium, not very far from veritable Soldier Field, home of the Chicago Bears and the once-upon – a time Midway Airport, volunteer Ian (pronounced EEon). I’m doing well at Neumann Association; Maza said on a given slow day 1,000 to 1,005 and on a given busy day, morning before noon, about 3,000 (people) a day. I liked seeing the different solar systems .probability and Saturn, the colorful planet –had some “hip hop” rings around this major planet Earth Isaac Hayes, Diana Ross and the Supremes quartet and a combination of Smokey Robinson and the Miracles along with a hot Barry Manilow had all the rhythm . Earth requires water and the whole outing was educational, which was the best part of all. . Everyone did a space walk!
