Hiking and Swimming:
Cathedral Rock: It is the number one destination for visitors to Sedona. The towering red rock formations are famous
worldwide, and worth the stop. If you are into hiking it is the perfect spot, but not recommended for under ten years
old. Cathedral Rock is located in Coconino National Forest, with a summit elevation of 4,921 feet.
Oak Creek Canyon: This swimming hole is a great spot to cool off on a hot day, but travelers recommend you get
there early as it fills up fast. Don’t miss Slide Rock (http://azstateparks.com/Parks/SLRO/index.html) if you bring
your kids – but adults will also enjoy this park. But make sure to check the site as there is a charge to enter the park.
The drive south into the Canyon offers jaw droppingly beautiful scenery, so bring your camera!
