Reduced Drafts
Meeting ventilation standards for a classroom with a standard unit ventilator requires continual
circulation of a large amount of air. This produces drafty, uncomfortable conditions. The PUV uses a
variable speed motor to reduce airflow when in ventilation mode. This ventilates the space while
minimizing drafts, producing comfort for teachers and students.

We recommend the proven approach of using simple, highly efficient equipment. The LENNOX
Dimension furnace is rated at 94.3% AFUE. Our condensing unit average EER rating is 11.5. Our fully
modulating economizer includes enthalpy control and low leak damper blades. Each unit provides an
independent zone of temperature and ventilation control. Ventilation control can be accomplished with
programmable thermostats, motion detectors, CO2 sensors or interface with an existing or new building
automation system. Highly efficient operation is provided without costs to install, maintain and operate
boilers, chillers, pumps, supplemental fans, defrost equipment and complex control strategies.

LENNOX combines the proven technology of Dimension Two Stage Heat with industry-standard
operating controls to produce simple and reliable operation. Compared with other furnaces, there are
fewer parts to maintain and built-in safety features to automatically monitor gas flow and ignition.
Compared with other systems, the PUV eliminates boiler tuning, pressure vessel repair, chemical water
treatment, chiller tear-downs and pump rebuilds. Continual calibration of pneumatic controls becomes
outdated. Expensive digital zone control becomes unnecessary. Simple preventive maintenance will
keep your equipment operating efficiently and reliably. If a failure should occur, all system components
are stocked by LENNOX and readily available. Maintaining an effective learning environment has
never been so simple.
Noisy HVAC Systems
Very Low Noise Levels
Reduced airflow virtually eliminates air noise in the classroom during the ventilation mode. During
heating and cooling, the acoustically lined enclosure absorbs noise from the equipment while air quietly
moves through the classroom. The PUV is nearly transparent in an occupied classroom.
Inadequate Storage
Cosmetically Pleasing Cabinetry
The standard cabinet includes a Formica® laminate counter with molded PVC edging for durability and
rounded for safety. The supply air grille location allows use of the counter as classroom workspace.
Optional cabinetry can provide additional work and storage space.

Condensate Removal
All condensate piping from the furnace must terminate to an indoor drain to prevent ice formation
during extremely cold conditions. DO NOT TERMINATE CONDENSATE PIPING OUTDOORS IN
AREAS WHERE OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE MAY REACH 32° F OR LOWER. An optional
condensate removal pump can be field installed in the standard unit cabinet for retrofit applications.

Commercial Dimension® Products
Lennox Dimension combustion is now available for commercial applications in multizone units (indoor and outdoor),
single zone units and unit ventilators. All models offer Dimension 94.3% AFUE two stage heating, DX cooling,
factory installed economizers, 20 year heat exchanger warranty and variable speed, high static pressure supply fans for
low energy costs and simple maintenance.
The PMZ3 (Rooftop Dimension Multizone) was initially developed to replace
thousands of LENNOX DMS units installed between 1965 and 1985. The PMZ3
can be factory modified to fit existing roof curbs of Mammoth, Nesbitt, Trane,
Carrier and other multizone units. The PMZ3 is custom built with potential
capacities of 600 MBH heating, 36 tons cooling and 12 control zones. No one can
offer comparable value.
The PMZ2 (Indoor Dimension Multizone) fits through a standard doorway to
replace indoor multizone units. Each PMZ2 is custom designed to meet system
capacities and other requirements. The PMZ2 replaces complicated HVAC
systems with simple, high efficiency equipment while eliminating chillers, boilers,
pumps, multizone air handlers and pneumatic controls.
Dimension Two-Stage technology is now available in small rooftop units. The PSZ is
intended for situations where long-term ownership costs are reviewed. Each PSZ unit is
custom built with potential capacities of 400 MBH heating, 24 tons cooling and 4 factory
installed control zones. High efficiency, custom fabrication, extended warranties and
durable construction increase the owner's value and, ultimately the PSZ costs less than a
standard rooftop unit.
The PUV ( Unit Ventilator) is designed for installation in a classroom where standard
equipment cannot adequately ventilate the space. The PUV is offered with potential
capacities of 100 MBH heating and 5 tons cooling. Other applications include office
buildings with minimal ceiling space or a desire for custom cabinetry. The PUV has an
attractive Formica laminate counter, decorator colors and optional wood or metal wall
cabinetry for individual room decor.
