HOTEL ROOM RESERVATION PROCEDURES
The hotel will begin taking reservations for this event on March 26, 2014. In order to assign individuals to specific
rooms, room reservations will be required. PCA Guests must phone in their reservation requests to the following
number: 800-264-0165 or 918-307-6000 and reference the Papillon Club of America room block. Reservations can
also be made ONLINE ( a link can be found on the PCA Website). PCA Guests must contact the Hotel by March 12,
2015, identify themselves as part of the Papillon National Specialty, provide a credit card, specify type of room, bed
type (i.e. king, queen/queen etc.), check-in and check-out dates. Any requests for special room arrangements must
be made at this initial reservation. The Hotel will be included on the attendee mailing list to help anticipate when
reservations are likely to begin arriving. The Hotel does not confirm reservations in writing and room types cannot be
guaranteed, however the Hotel will use commercially reasonable efforts to inform PCA Guests if the type of room or,
bed requested (such as a queen/queen to accommodate 4 people) is not available.
As of March 12, 2015, all room nights which have not been reserved will be deemed to be room nights which PCA
Guests will not use, and will be returned to the Hotel’s general inventory. Reservation requests from PCA Guests
received after March 12, 2015 will be accepted on a space available basis, at the higher of the contract rate or the
rate available at that time.
GUEST ROOM CHARGES
Each PCA Guest will pay for his/her own account upon departure. When each reservation is made by a PCA Guest, the
Hotel will require payment of one room night and tax for such reservation. Upon check-in, each PCA Guest will be
required to present a valid credit card, on which an amount of sufficient pre-authorization can be obtained to cover
the room and tax charges for the length of such Guest’s stay, plus the anticipated use of the Hotel’s ancillary services.
The PCA National Show Committee and Board will assist the Hotel in resolving any incidents occurring with a PCA
Guest, including costs incurred by the Hotel to repair damage to a guest room for which a PCA Guest is responsible.
HOSPITALITY ROOM:
Food and beverages from the hospitality room may be taken into hotel rooms, but must not be taken onto the
Ground Floor of the Hotel or Convention Center areas. Additional hospitality items may be available in the Convention Center areas.
DOG SHOW RULES
Pet Fee: A one time, non-refundable pet fee of $50.00 per guest room will be assessed at check in. $25 of this is
refundable to the guest, the other $25 is non-refundable for cleaning.
Dogs: All animals must be crated at all times while unattended in guestroom, with plastic sheeting under crates. All
dogs must be crated, on a leash or in your lap in public areas. Guests are allowed to have up to 12 dogs per room. The
show committee will provide a liability form for all guests to sign when they check in; any guest with dogs cannot check-in
until they have signed and read this waiver. The show committee will provide the front desk with PCA approved floor
plastic sheets that will need to be handed out for guests to put under their crates in the guestrooms. The show committee
will provide door signage that guests can hang outside their room to let housekeeping know there are dogs in their room.
This does not mean that housekeeping cannot enter the room, however, this just to let hotel staff know there are dogs. If
the guest is not in the room all dogs must be crated. The group is allowed to have X-pens in the room with the approved
PCA provided floor protection.
Bathing, Drying, Grooming: No dog bathing, drying or grooming facilities are provided in the convention center areas only ringside crating and ringside tables are permitted. Dog bathing, drying and grooming is allowed in rooms, providing
guests utilize shower drain filters provided at check-in and guests respect hotel property and take precautions and exercise care to avoid damage or soiling of hotel rooms, bedding, furnishings, furniture or any other hotel property. PCA
guests must use their own towels when bathing dogs. Hotel towels are not to be used for the care & grooming of dogs. G
Kennels & Exercise Pens: Kennels/exercise pens are permitted ONLY in the designated areas of the hotel grounds. EVERY
DOG OWNER is expected to pick up after his/her own dog(s) and dispose of the waste in nearby trash cans. Do not
allow your dog to urinate or defecate anywhere within the hotel. If your dog has an accident, you must clean it up
immediately and thoroughly.
RV PARKING
Limited RV spaces, without hookups, are available for the National Specialty event and are being
offered at a rate of $25.00 per night. An RV reservation form can be found on the Specialty website.

The 2015 PCA National Specialty will be held at the Renaissance Tulsa Hotel & Convention Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma during the week of March 29th through April 3rd.
Tulsa is located in northeastern Oklahoma and is connected by I-44. Tulsa is served
by Tulsa International Airport and there is a complimentary shuttle service to the
hotel. Motorhome parking, without hookups, is available at the site. PCA has a
block of rooms with a room rate of $95.00 and a one time $50.00 pet fee per room,

zone). Both sides of entry form must be submitted. A $4.00 charge will be added to each entry.
Be sure to include the cardholders name, address, card number, expiration date & signature. If
the credit card charge is denied for any reason, an additional service charge will be added.

Telephone Entries and Unsigned Entries Cannot Be Accepted. Entries Not On Official AKC Entry
Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without Agreement and Rules on the reverse side of the
Official AKC Entry Form are NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Entries received without fees will not be accepted. Acknowledgement of entries will be made
as soon as practicable via mail or email. Should acknowledgement not be received by the exhibitor within a reasonable time. Please notify our office.
CANADIAN EXHIBITORS MUST SUBMIT ENTRIES WITH CHECKS DRAWN ON U.S. ACCOUNTS OR
WITH INTERNATIONAL MONEY ORDERS IN U.S. FUNDS.
An AKC Recording Fee of 50 cents and $3.00 AKC Event service Fee will be required for each dog
entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show or Obedience Trial. These Fees are to be collected by the show-giving Club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more
than one class in the show, the event service fee will be collected on additional entries as well.
(American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2). For All Rally entries, an AKC Recording fee of
$3.00 will be required (Rally Regulations, Chapter 1, Section 3).
RETURNED CHECKS / INVALID CREDIT CARDS do not constitute a valid entry. The Show Secretary will add a collection fee of $25 to the amount of each returned check and credit card. Subsequent returned checks and credit card from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a
cash-only basis. Entry Fee will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified,
excused by Veterinarian or judge, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee.
No entry fees will be refunded if the Show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil
disturbances, fire, extreme and or dangerous weather conditions, an Act of God, public emergency, act of public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the Club or the Show
Secretary.
No Refund for Duplicate Entries. Every effort to find all duplicate entries will be made; however, if entry has been processed, no refund will be made.
No Entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its
acceptance.
Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further
judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor the show secretary will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class
judging.

Judges need not wait for any dog holding up the class. Owners or agents alone are responsible
for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings.
The show giving club, the Show secretary, their agents, employees, etc., assume no responsibility
for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by exhibitors or handlers to any of their dogs or property, and further assume no responsibility for injury to children.
Transfers (formerly Move-ups)
 After a dog earns a title, a transfer (i.e., from an obedience class to an obedience class; or a
rally class to a rally class) may be requested if, according to the owner’s records the handler and
dog are eligible and the dog has completed the requirements for the title after the closing date
of the trial in which the advanced entry is to be made.
 The request for a transfer must be in writing and presented to the trial secretary at least 30
minutes prior to the start of each trial.
 Transfers may be approved provided the class and judge are available, and the class has not
reached its limit.
For a written request regarding a transfer for an ineligible dog and handler team from the “A”
class to the “B” class at the same level, please refer to the AKC Obedience Regulations, Chapter 1,
Section 16b

DEATH OF ANY DOG EXHIBITED, OR FOR THE POSSESSIONS OF ANY PARTICIPANT WHETHER THE
RESULT OF ACCIDENT OR ANY OTHER CAUSE. IT IS EXPRESSLY UNDERSTOOD THAT EVERY DOG AT
THESE SHOWS IS IN THE CARE AND CUSTODY AND CONTROL OF HIS OWNER OR HANDLER DURING THE ENTIRE TIME THE DOG IS ON THE SHOW PREMISES.

THE AKC RULES.
HOW TO USE THE ENTRY BLANK
Use one entry blank per dog only if information is exactly the SAME for each day. Carefully check
the block(s) for each show in which you wish to enter your dog. You MUST use a SEPARATE entry
blank if you are entering your dog in a different class on different days (e.g. Open Class on Day 1
and American Bred on Day 2) or, if you are entering an additional class on any of the days (e.g.
Open Class on Day 1 and Open Class plus Junior Showmanship Day 2).

The following classes will be provided for both dogs and bitches
Puppy – 6 months and under 9 months
Puppy – 9 months and under 12 months

WINNERS
Best of Breed Competition
Awards of Merit: At the discretion of the Judge, up to five (5) Awards of Merit to be
awarded to dogs or bitches competing in this class.
Following Best of Breed Judging there will be competition for:
Best Puppy in Puppy Classes - Best Bred By Exhibitor - Best Veteran - Best Phalene

AMATEUR-OWNER-HANDLER CLASS
CHAPTER 3: SECTION 7.
The Amateur-Owner-Handler class shall be for dogs that are at least six months of age that are
not champions. Dogs must be handled in the class by the registered owner of the dog. This class is
restricted to exhibitors who have not, at any point in time, been a professional dog handler, AKC
approved conformation judge, or employed as an assistant to a professional handler. Additionally, members of the immediate family or household of a current professional handler are ineligible
for this class (as defined in Chapter 11, Section 13).
Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional
handlers’ organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves
as handling dogs for pay.
BRED BY EXHIBITOR CLASS
SECTION 8. The Bred-by-Exhibitor Class shall be for dogs that are:
• Six months of age or older as of the first day of the show;
• Not Champions on the date of closing of entries for the show;
• Individually registered with The American Kennel Club as of the date of the show;
• Owned or co-owned by any of the breeders of record as of the date of the show.
• The person handling the dog in this class must be a breeder of record and an owner of record
of this dog.
In any subsequent classes for which a dog from the Bred-by-Exhibitor class becomes eligible,
there are no restrictions as to who may handle.
BEST OF BREED COMPETITION
The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed Competition: Dogs
and Bitches that are Champions of Record will be judged together.
NON-REGULAR (ADDITIONAL) CLASSES INVOLVING SINGLE DOG ENTRIES
Veterans Class – Classes for dogs and bitches; 7 years and under 10 years, and 10 years and over.
Veterans Note: 1st place winners of Veteran Dog & Veteran Bitch classes are eligible to compete for Best of Breed if undefeated in any other classes at this show. Neutered Dogs and Spayed
Bitches may be entered.
NON-REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING MULTIPLE DOG ENTRIES
As the judge’s decision in the Non-Regular Classes involving Multiple Dog Entries is based on the
merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged
first in these classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won these
classes.
STUD DOG CLASS – For Stud Dog and at least two, but no more than five of their Get. It is not
necessary that the Get be under the same ownership as that of the Stud Dog. The Stud Dog may
be entered separately in one of the regular classes, or if a Champion of Record in Best of Breed
Competition, but MUST be entered in the Stud Dog Class, the Get MUST be entered in one of the
regular classes. The Stud Dog shall be considered as one entry and requires one entry fee, this
being the regular fee plus the additional class fee if the Stud Dog is entered in another class. The
Stud Dog must be shown in the ring with the Get. The class will be judged on the merits of the
Get.
BROOD BITCH CLASS – Same as for the Stud Dog except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and
Produce for Get.
BRACE CLASS – Two dogs of the same recognized breed or variety that are similar in appearance,
performing in unison, and presented by a maximum of two handlers. Both dogs competing in
brace competition must have at least one common owner.

PUPPY SWEEPSTAKES
Dogs shown in Sweepstakes must be entered in one of the regular classes at the regular entry fee
and on the regular entry form. Indicate your Sweepstakes Class with the age division in the space
provided for “Additional Class”. Handlers or Agents may handle in sweepstakes.
The following classes will be provided for both dogs and bitches:
Puppy Sweepstakes, 6 Months & Under 9 Months
Puppy Sweepstakes, 9 Months & Under 12 Months
Junior Sweepstakes, 12 Months & Under 15 Months
DIVISION OF ENTRY MONEY AS PRIZES
35% of total entry fees will be retained by the Club for expenses. The remaining 65% will be divided as follows: First – 50% Second – 25% Third – 15% Fourth – 10%
VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES
REQUIREMENTS & CLASSIFICATION
Dogs shown in Veteran Sweepstakes need not be entered in one of the regular classes at the
regular entry fee and may be spayed or neutered. Indicate your Sweepstakes Class with the age
division in the space provided for “Additional Class”. Handlers or Agents may handle in sweepstakes.
The following classes will be provided for both dogs and bitches:
Veteran Sweepstakes, 7 years and under 10 years
Veteran Sweepstakes, 10 years and over
DIVISION OF ENTRY MONEY AS PRIZES
35% of total entry fees will be retained by the Club for expenses. The remaining 65% will be divided as follows: First – 50% Second – 25% Third – 15% Fourth – 10%

NON-REGULAR CLASSES
Veteran Brace
Beginner-Novice Class. The Beginner-Novice Class shall be for dogs that have not received a third
qualifying score in a Novice Class prior to the closing of the trial. The owner or any other person
may handle dogs in this class. Owners may enter more than one dog in this class. However, if a
person has handled more than one dog in the first four exercises, that person must provide a
handler for the additional dog in the same Group Exercise.
Graduate Novice Class. The Graduate Novice class will be for all dogs and is an optional titling
class. If eligible as defined in AKC regulations, dogs entered in Graduate Novice may also be entered in any other obedience classes.
Graduate Open Class. The Graduate Open class will be for all dogs and is an optional titling
class. If eligible as defined in AKC regulations, dogs entered in Graduate Open may also be entered in any other obedience classes.
Obedience non-reg Veteran Class. The Veterans Class will be for dogs that have an obedience
title and are at least 6 years old on the date of the trial. The exercises will be performed and
judged as in the Novice Class. Dogs may be entered in another class or classes.

JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION

Entry blank MUST be filled out with the necessary information; otherwise the entry in Junior
Showmanship will not be accepted.
NOVICE JUNIOR CLASS. For Boys & Girls who are at least 9 years and under 12 years old on the
day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Places, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.
NOVICE INTERMEDIATE CLASS. For Boys & Girls who are at least 12 years and under 15 years
old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Places,
with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.
NOVICE SENIOR CLASS. For Boys & Girls who are at least 15 years and under 18 years old on
the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Places, with
competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.
OPEN JUNIOR CLASS. For Boys & Girls who are at least 9 years and under 12 years old on the
day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Places, with competition
present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.
OPEN INTERMEDIATE CLASS. For Boys & Girls who are at least 12 years and under 15 years old
on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Places, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.
OPEN SENIOR CLASS. For Boys & Girls who are at least 15 years and under 18 years old on the
day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won Three First Places, with competition
present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.
MASTER CLASS. For boys & girls who are at least 9 years and under 18 years old on the day of
the show and who, at the time entries close, have won ten First Places with competition present
in an Open Class at a licensed or member show. The calendar for this class will be November 1 October 31 of the following year. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to
enter the Master Class and may change the entry without charge the day of the show if entries
have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open class to compete for the following year.
PARADE OF RESCUE PAPILLONS AND ADOPTERS
FRIDAY, APRIL 3, 2015
Dogs entered in this class may or may not be entered in a Regular class of this show, however, all
dogs must come from a rescue organization. The class will not be judged. A biography of the
dog, up to 200 words MUST be included with the entry form. Entry fee (NO CHARGE).
PARADE OF CHAMPIONS AND PERFORMANCE TITLE HOLDERS
FRIDAY, APRIL 3, 2015
Dogs entered in this class may or may not be entered in a Regular class of this show, however, all
dogs must be holders of either an American Kennel Club Champion of Record Title and/or American Kennel Club performance event title. The class will not be judged and each entry will receive
the special prize of a rosette imprinted with the dog’s name. A biography of the dog, up to 200
words MUST be included with the entry form. Entry fee $30.00.
OVER 60 HANDLER CLASS
FRIDAY, APRIL 3, 2015
The Over 60 Handler Class will be offered at the 2015 PCA National. Handlers must be over 60
years of age. This will be a non-regular class. Dogs must be entered in a regular class and may be
any age. Handlers & their dogs are allowed to be in costume for this event. The Over 60 Handler
Class will be an additional class entry at no charge.

National Trophies & Prizes
Unless otherwise specified, the trophies and prizes listed are offered by the Papillon Club of
America through the generous sponsorship of members and friends whose names will be listed
in the catalog.
Trophies and prizes (including cash prizes will be awarded in the judging rings to the person exhibiting the dog, who will be considered to be the owner or agent of the owner. All claims for trophies and other prizes must be made in the judging ring before the completion of the judging of
the breed, and the Show Chairperson advised at once in the event of any discrepancy. The Club
reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. NO AWARDS WILL BE MAILED.
Challenge Trophies
For permanent possession Challenge Trophies must be won three times by the same owner, but
not necessarily with the same dog, nor at consecutive shows. Challenge trophies will remain in
the possession of the Papillon Club of America, Inc. until retired.
Best of Breed - John Oulton offers through the Papillon Club of America, Inc. and in loving
memory of Catharine Davis Gauss, the Cadaga Memorial Trophy. (A Bronze Papillon on a Redwood Base) for competition at its specialty shows only. To commemorate this win, the Papillon
Club of America, Inc. offers a color show photograph.
Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed - A color photograph shall be given by the Papillon Club of
America, Inc. to commemorate this win.
Best of Winners - Virginia Newton offers through the Papillon Club of America, Inc. for competition at its specialty shows only, the Sterling Silver Russell - Roberts Trophy. A color photograph
shall be given by the Papillon Club of America, Inc. to commemorate this win.
Winners Dog—A color photograph shall be given by the Papillon Club of America, Inc. to commemorate this win.
Winners Bitch - Ann Vradenburg and June Peterson offer through the Papillon Club of America,
