RENTAL BROCHURE Cultivating Love of Land, Food and the Arts THE SILO AT HUNT HILL FARM, in the heart of the Litchfield Hills, provides a peaceful and rustic setting – ideal for weddings, showers, rehearsal dinners, holiday parties, meetings and retreats, corporate team-building and any other celebratory or business events. With an agricultural history dating back to the 17th century, the venue provides a beautiful and authentic rural location for private and public functions. Surrounded by hundreds of acres of open space, active farmland, stonewalls, and woodlands, Hunt Hill Farm, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is conveniently located – just 90 minutes from New York City and neighboring both Fairfield and Hartford counties. To view our photo gallery, visit our Hunt Hill Farm Facebook page www.facebook.com/TheSiloHHFT. 1 The Silo Gallery The Silo Gallery, the largest of our indoor spaces, can accommodate meetings or parties for up to 130 guests at a standing reception or 100 guests for a seated dinner. The converted hay barn, c.1800, features hardwood floors complemented by rustic exposed chestnut timber beams, a vaulted 27foot-high ceiling, and a gorgeous view into the barnyard. The space allows for an open, yet intimate setting with lots of natural light. Our Gallery features a bar area and a 14’ x 14’ drop-down projection screen, ceiling fans, rod iron chandeliers, and wood-paneled anteroom, which can be used as a reception area, serving area or coatroom, and opens up to the secluded barnyard which can be tented. Upon availability and musician approval, a circa 1952 Steinway piano, may be used as well. (If needed, moving and tuning by Hunt Hill Farm’s approved vendors is the responsibility of the renter.) Rental rates for The Gallery: $800 for 6 hours; $100 per additional hour. From November 20th – January 6th, The Gallery will be festively decorated for the holidays but space may be limited. Depending on time of year, portable heaters or cooling may need to be rented. 2 The Museum The cozy Skitch Henderson Museum with a small prep kitchen, a bar, and private restroom can accommodate meetings or parties for a 65-guest standing reception or a 40-guest seated dinner. The adjoining deck is available for tenting for additional capacity. Private separate entrance. Rental rate for The Museum: $400 for 6 hours; $50 per additional hour 3 The Silo Cooking School The Silo Cooking School is an historic and charming space for your small cocktail party or intimate dinner to celebrate any special occasion. Choose to cook your own meal in a private class with one of our chefs*, or bring in your own catered meal. Enjoy your meal at our antique farm table. The kitchen is equipped with a six-burner gas range and double ovens, a large center island, three stainless steel workstations, tables and chairs, a dishwasher/sanitizer, commercial and hand-washing sinks, and full-size freezer and refrigerators. Accommodates up to a 40-guest standing reception and a 30-guest seated dinner. The Cooking School may also be used by you and/or your caterer (subject to approval) in conjunction with other Silo venues for catering and food service. Rental rates for The Silo Cooking School: Monday through Thursday: $500 for 6 hours; $50 per additional hour Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays: $800 for 6 hours; $100 per additional hour *Note: Private and customized cooking classes are available for individuals, groups and corporations. A minimum of 12 people is required and prices begin at $150 per person. **Cooking school rental and use is subject to availability based upon Cooking School schedule.** 4 PACKAGE PLANS “Upstairs at The Silo” Package Allow your guests to stroll between the beautiful Gallery, Gallery annex, Barnyard and Silo Cooking School and have the freedom to utilize any upstairs area for storage and prep. This package gives you full access to all upstairs spaces at The Silo for your event needs.* Rental rates for The Silo Upstairs: $1,500 for 6 hours; $100 per additional hour (Monday – Thursday) $1,800 for 6 hours; $100 per additional hour (Friday-Sunday and holidays) *Subject to availability based upon Cooking School schedule. 5 Museum Field Package Create your own unique venue and expand the space by putting up a tent on Museum Field to create a once-in-a-life-time experience for all your guests. The flexibility and versatility of tenting gives you the freedom to create the event of your dreams that reflects your individual and personal style. Use of the Museum, Deck, Museum Field and the Parking Field (which accommodates up to 100 cars) is included. Rental rates for the Museum Field: $2,500 per one-day event* $3,500 per two-day event* (Fridays and Saturdays: 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.; All other days: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.) Tent and rentals are not included. Portable restroom facilities are required and are the responsibility of the renter.
