Адрес: www. newtotheborders.co.uk How to bid for an SBHA property SBHA HomeChoice advertises vacant properties for rent every week from Monday noon to the following Monday at 10.00am, on its website at: www.sbhahomechoice.org.uk Advertisements will be displayed in all SBHA Offices and will be available through the Scottish Borders Council’s Homelessness Team at Paton Street, Galashiels. In addition, SBHA HomeChoice advertises vacant properties every Thursday in the Southern Reporter. If you cannot leave home and do not have access to a computer, please contact your nearest SBHA office who will arrange to post out a list of properties to you every week. If you need assistance to bid, you should contact any SBHA Office. Please note that SBHA staff cannot place bids on your behalf. To make a bid for properties of your choice How the bidding works You can bid for properties 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, either by: Each applicant can bid for up to 5 suitable properties a week. • Using the SBHA HomeChoice automated line - Bids for properties where your household would be overcrowded (as defined in SBHA’s Allocations Policy) will normally be rejected, but you may apply for a larger house than you need. 0845 873 6464 You will need a touchtone phone, (one with * and # buttons), your application number and your date of birth. or • by logging on to www.sbhahomechoice.org.uk Step 1: Log on using your application reference number and surname. Step 2: Click on Browse Properties. Step 3: Click on View Details for more information. Step 4: Click on Add to Basket. Step 5: Click on View Basket. Step 6: Click “Apply” to Bid. With both our systems, bids are instantly recorded, so there is no danger that your bid will not be processed before offers close. The advertisements will make it clear when the bids close. No bids can be accepted after the deadline. Written bids will not be accepted. Only households with a family member over the age of 60 can apply for Amenity Housing. Remember that properties will be offered to the bidder with the highest points who makes best use of the property, in accordance with SBHA’s Allocations Policy. (A copy is available on request). SBHA HomeChoice will only contact you by telephone or e-mail if your bid is being considered so it is important that you ensure that SBHA has your up-to-date contact details.
