Benefits Sheboygan County
Cancer Care Fund!
I know it is a busy time of year… but this is one
session you will not want to miss! We will start off
with a Meet & Greet between 5P & 6P that will
include some delicious and healthy FOOD (Shrimp
Cocktail, Fruit Kabobs, Cheese & Sausage with
Crackers, Vegetables, and of course, some Holiday
Cookies), all specially prepared for us by the
culinary experts of the Sharon S. Richardson
Community Hospice! Then, at 6P we will kick
things off with s special announcement and
unveiling before we look at photos and share
stories from TLC’s Supportive Community events
and SCCCF’s Survive, Thrive & Be Fit activities
throughout 2014 and take a look at what is to
come in 2015!!! Join us for the fun & fellowship!
RSVP IS ALWAYS APPRECIATED!!! See Attached!
The mission of Hunting for a Cure is to help raise
funds and awareness for people suffering from
cancer right here in our local area by creating a fun
tournament where there will be great food, siilent
auction and raffles, and a great time for all that get
involved! All proceeds from the event will benefit
local families with financial hardship due to cancer
in Sheboygan County. For more information or to
make a donation (of cash or merchandise) please
contact John Utech at 920.207.3774 or e-mail him
at john.utech@yahoo.com! See attached flyer!

TLC Survivorship Can Be Fun:
The Many Variations of Yacht
Wednesday, December 3rd!
I brought out the many different versions of
Yahtzee that I have accumulated over the years
(photo below) as a group of survivors and cosurvivors gathered to play a few variations of Yacht
(the predecessor of Yahtzee) including Crag (3-dice
Yacht), Maxi Yatzy (6-dice Yachnt) and Double
Cameroon (10-dice Yacht).

SCCCF Survive, Thrive & Be Fit
“First Saturday of the Month” &
“Challenge of the Month”
Watch for the next TLC Survivorship Can Be Fun Dice Night - COMING SOON! Your score may be
just a matter of chance… but the joy, pleasure,
support and inspiration of connecting with fellow
cancer survivors and co-survivors is nothing short
of a “sure thing!”
The Davita Way of Giving!
The staff of DaVita Sheboygan Dialysis recently
selected The Sheboygan County Cancer Care Fund
as the recipient of “a big check” and generous
donation! A leading provider of dialysis services in
the United States, DaVita Kidney Care treats
patients with chronic kidney failure and end stage
renal disease. According to their website, “DaVita”
is Italian for “giving life”! Thank you for “giving
life” through your daily work… and beyond!!!
Please mark your calendar and watch this update
(or our website) for times and locations of the
SCCCF First Saturday of the Month Survive, Thrive
& Be Fit Gathering! This past Saturday we hiked
the Black River Trails on Sheboygan’s south side. It
wasn’t our largest group to date… but we did have
a good turnout at all three hikes (7A, 8A & 9A). We
will return to the Black River Trails on Saturday,
January 3rd (due to later sunrise, we will have
group starts at 8A, 9A & 10A) and, with a little luck
the conditions will allow us to do some
snowshoeing (a limited supply of snowshoes will be
available – contact Tim to reserve a pair). Due to
the late sunrise, we will meet at 8A, 9A & 10A.
I shared my idea of the SCCCF Survive, Thrive & Be
Fit Challenge of the Month” with some of you
while we were hiking on Saturday… and I
encourage you to visit our website (www.scccf.org)
and click on the “Get Active” tab to see what the
Challenge of the Month will be for January, 2015!!!
