Gear pumps
The base element of a gear pump are gears. Shafts
and gears at BEKA gear pumps are hardened and
sharpened. The gears are installed exactly matching
on grinded surfaces in the pump housing and cover.
The shaft sealing is realized via a pressure relieved
radial shaft sealing ring on the suction side.
The additional equipment with a pressure limiting
valve is possible.
Limits of use
The pumps can be operated permanent with the
indicated operating over pressure. Essential
prerequesites for a long operation duration are, that
the used materials of the pumps are well-tolerated
with the lubricant, that lubricant does not contain any
contents that favor wear and that lubricant is always
clean. We recommend to install a filter with mesh
size £ 100 mm regarding pollutions. The best
viscosity range is between 30 - 60 cSt. The viscosity
range can have other values than indicated in the
technical data if the pipe cross sections for suction
and pressure lines are accordingly constructed.
The indicated permitted operating over pressures of
the motor pumps are based on a viscosity of 38
mm²/s. Divide the operating over pressure mit factor
“k”, at divergent viscosity with same motor capacity.
The pumps are not intended for the use with radial
loads at the drive shaft. The drive shall be realized by
means of a put-on coupling of the machine or by the
electric motor.

Construction characteristics
All supply volume details and techn. data are based
on a drive number of revolutions of 1400 min-1.
Pump selection
Next to the supply volume, operating pressure and
the pump design (data can be seen on following
pages), also the noise level is partly significant.
We offer internal gear pumps if there are pumps
necessary that are very quiet and also if pumps are
needed for higher operating pressures.

Supply volume (l/min)
Gear pumps are used to supply oils or oil-like
lubricants that have a sufficient lubrication
characteristic. The range of application reaches from
oil hydraulic via the lubrication technology to the
general supply technology.
BEKA-gear pumps are designed for operating
temperatures from -20°C to +80°C. For higher
operating temperatures, the pumps can be equipped
with a special sealing.

Technical data
The gear pump for the direct drive of machines via a
coupling - e.g. in tooling machines. The drive is only
permitted in one rotation direction. Pumps for
optional rotation directions, higher operating
pressures, radial shaft loads and versions with
special materials as well as double pumps can be
delivered in various constructions sizes.

Technical data
Motor pumps in horizontal construction can be used
universal. Next to the direct installation onto a
reservoir, the pump can also directly be installed at a
machine and suck lubricant up to a suction height of
approx. 1 m from an oil sump. Pumps in vertical
construction are mainly used for the space-saving
installation in reservoirs. Special constructions, like
at the flange pumps, can be delivered for divergent
operating conditions.

Series FL 1 to 5 - Flange pumps
An adaptable and applicable pump, mainly used for
the lubrication of gears. The pump is self-priming at a
suction heigt up to approx. 1 m.
Pumps for radial shaft loads, made of special
materials and designed as multi-circuit pumps, can
be delivered for special application cases.
