Health Living/Healthy Choices is a joint
physical health/behavioral health initiative
which started in Greene County in July
2011. Healthy Living/Healthy Choices is
sponsored by Greene County Human
Services and Value Behavioral Health. It is
a weekly wellness group for adults with
behavioral health needs that meet to
discuss various topics related to physical
as well as mental health and wellness.
Topics such as the relationship between
your physical health and behavioral health,
talking to your psychiatrist, personal
safety, personal wellness, oral health,
heart health, and many others are
covered. In addition, a walking and fishing
component is offered known as WalkWorks
and Fishing with Friends.
This program is open to any Greene County
resident who is now or who has ever received
mental health services. There is NO COST to
participate in the program. You may obtain
information about Healthy Living/Healthy Choices
by calling Jill Piasecki at (724) 627-4661 or
Cindy Andrews at (724) 678-5758.
