THANK YOU
FROM LUDLOW YOUTH FOOTBALL
Ludlow High School ’s Class of 2012
The Ludlow Youth Football Boosters would like to say a BIG THANK
YOU to everyone who helped make the Summer Fireworks Festival a
success. From sponsors to vendors to patrons, it would not have been
possible without each and every one of you.
Ludlow Youth Football is a non-profit organization offering children
between the ages of 5 to 14 the opportunity to participate in football and
cheerleading. LYF is fortunate to be permitted to recruit children not only
from Ludlow, but from Bromley, Ft. Wright, Park Hills and West Covington. We are proud that we furnish our football players and cheerleaders
with the safest, most up-to-date equipment available. This festival serves
as the one and only fundraiser for our organization. As the festival is held
prior to our football season, it allows us to spend more time concentrating
on our children and not having them sell merchandise.
Our festival sponsors include The City of Ludlow, Ronald B. Jones Funeral
Home, Northern Kentucky Youth Football League, The Sports Section,
Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Ideal Supplies, Huntington Bank, Jeff
Thomas Catering, Ludlow Family Pharmacy and Hamant’s Auto Body.
We were excited to have many local vendors participate this year, as well
as some who traveled from outside our area to participate.
As always, to cap off a great event, we enjoyed one of the best fireworks
shows in Northern Kentucky on Saturday night thanks to Vito’s Fireworks
from Independence, Kentucky.
Gathering for a photo before the ceremony are the top of the Class of 2012: Salutatorian Hanna King and Co-Valedictorians Logan Eckler and Danielle Frevola.
Congratulations to all of the members of Ludlow High School’s Class of 2012!
Commencement exercises took place on Thursday, May 31st in the Faragher
Fine Arts Center at 7:00 PM. Robert Baker, M.D., a member of the LHS Class
of 1974, served as the Commencement Speaker. The ceremony also included
speeches by the Co-Valedictorians, Danielle Frevola and Logan Eckler, and
the Salutatorian, Hanna King.
The faculty and staff of LHS wish the best of luck to all of the graduates!
ONE NIGHT ONLY
We cannot say thank you enough to those who helped us along the way.
We are looking forward to next year and hopefully can make the festival
a highlight for our favorite city, the place we all call home.

On June 7th, 2012, As a way to support the expansion of programs and the
renovation of the former Duro Bag corp HQ, circus Mojo hosted a “One Night
Only” Jerry Springer Celebrity Ringmaster performance! Jerry stepped from
the TV into a circus ring where he juggled, spun plates and joined an army of
clowns at our own local circus, Circus Mojo! Donning a pair of giant shoes
and a top hat, Jerry served as a celebrity ringmaster alongside his side kick
Cincinnati Council Woman Laure Quinlivan, Ludlow Mayor Ken Wynn and
an international cast. A great time was had by all!

Methodist Church at 319 Oak Street, and the Chapman Residence at 416 Closson Court. All the
winners have maintained their buildings in near original state and when they needed to upgrade

CONGRATULATIONS
ROB BEGNOCHE
American Public Works Association (Northern
Kentucky Chapter) held a "Roadeo" on May 10,
2012. The Roadeo is a skill competition highlighting a dump truck obstacle course, back-hoe
(bobcat) use, and skid steer obstacle course. This
competition is based on skills in manipulating
equipment through a fixed course while being
timed and scored for accuracy and ability to operate the equipment handling skills public works
employees have to use daily.
Ludlow’s Rob Begnoche (25) earned first place
in the Bobcat division. He beat several other contestants. Rob has worked for the Ludlow Public
Works Department for almost 4 years. He helps
maintain all of the roads, public buildings, and
public areas of Ludlow. He does an outstanding job. Clearly all our equipment is safe in his
hands.
Next time you see Rob, congratulate him!
THANK YOU!
The entire Smith family wants to sincerely thank
you for the tremendous support you have given to
our new restaurant, “Smitty’s on Elm.” We have
deep family roots in Ludlow and we are sure that
our father and grandfather, former mayor, Winnie
Smith, is very proud. We look forward to serving
the community for years to come.

BROMLEY CHRISTIAN CHURCH
120th Anniversary Celebration
Bromley Christian Church is preparing to celebrate its 120th anniversary! The church was born on
September 25, 1892, and has been proudly serving the Lord and its community ever since.
Join us in our anniversary celebration as we “Come on Home” on September 28, 29, and 30. We
have several events planned, starting with an Open House on Friday, September 28th. Everyone is
welcome (bring friends!) to kick-off the exciting weekend and enjoy refreshments while we honor
on our strong roots of tradition and grow our future.
We will have two events on Saturday, September 29th. The day will kick-off with a golf outing at
Twin Oaks and wrap up with our annual Songfest at the church. Interested in playing in the outing
or sponsoring a hole? We’d love to hear from you! We are also looking for musicians and choirs
to participate in Songfest, one of our favorite annual events at BCC. This free event is a wonderful
evening full of music, fellowship, and delicious treats.
The 120th anniversary festivities will conclude on Sunday, September 30th beginning with Morning
Worship at 10:15 a.m. at the church. A picnic at Ludlow Park is immediately after the service, with
the church providing food and drinks. Join us for more fun and fellowship to wind down the wonderful weekend. Come celebrate with us!
