This type of expansion is flexible enough to respond to the needs of the local agricultural community without threatening to overdevelop the host landscape. AW.Rash - 4 Interactive Library Studio II, Spring 2008 An investigation of the how technology can create a new experience for research centers Building Elevation AW.Rash - 6 Average annual sunlight, floor plan The main function of ‘library’ as program is the storage of and access to information- and thus this structure investigates the formal and programmatic consequences of digitized data. Rather than housing stacks, the building would be required to accommodate the dimensions of large data processors and a means of intuitive access; in this exercise, a large touch screen enables data retrieval while the facade responds to both the urban and solar conditions.
