Heritage Club Spring
Catered Luncheon
Easter is a special time to rejoice and
share blessings with family and friends.
During this joyous season, share the
warmth, beauty and wonderful spirit of
spring and make a wish for new joy and
promises.
Extending Easter Blessings to You,
The Directors, Officers and Staff of
Pilot Grove Savings Bank

American Legion Hall
West Point, Iowa
Welcome springtime with this annual Heritage Club event
that includes good friends, a catered meal and special guest
entertainment.
The Heritage Club Luncheon will begin promptly at 11:30
a.m. Our fully-catered menu will include roast beef,
mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, vegetable, roll, dessert
and beverage. Entertainment will immediately follow the
meal and be provided by the Des Moines-based trio, RBJ.
RBJ is a band with much more sound than a normal trio.
With Rick McReynolds on vocals and guitar, Beth
McReynolds on vocals, and Jack O‟Leary on vocals and
keyboard, their full band sound is created by playing along
with digitally recorded drums and bass. Their three-part
harmony is reminiscent of some of the great oldies bands of
our time.
Some of the favorite oldies of the „50‟s and „60‟s RBJ may
include in their performance are “Everybody’s Somebody’s
Fool,” “I Can’t Stop Lovin’ You,” “It’s Only Make
Believe,” and “Hey Good Lookin’.”
Did You Know?

seasonal event. Please call and leave your reservation with

A New Year
with New
Adventures
I
am excited to introduce our Activities Calendar and
encourage you to make a resolution to join us for one, two, or
even all of the new and different places we plan to visit.
Entertaining, educational, exciting, and delightful, are just a few
adjectives to describe the trips that await you. You will enjoy
first-time experiences, along with a few unusual twists for fun.
For instance; we invite you to put together a late 50‟s or 60‟s
outfit for our trip to Circa „21 to see “Happy Days.” Guys get
out the Brylcreem (a little dab‟ll do ya), white t-shirt and blue
jeans, and gals pull out that poodle skirt, scarf, or cardigan and
let‟s have some fun.
Our 2011 “See Iowa First: Part 2” trip just might be even more
adventurous than last year. As I research our state, I‟m finding
many unfamiliar locations and fun destinations I never knew
existed. To make our trip even more exciting, it will be a
mystery for you to ponder and guess where we are going! I‟ve
had so much fun planning this I can‟t wait to show you what I‟ve
discovered!
A trip to Omaha is on our agenda for this year. Some of you
might say “Omaha?” I promise you a visit to spots in the city
you may have never seen. You will be introduced to the ethnic
food, custom and costume of five different countries without the
plane fare and passport.
Our Wisconsin trip will keep us busy and on the move. The fall
season in Wisconsin brings beautiful foliage and cranberry
harvesting. Our journey will also take us to the Fireside Theatre
for a wonderful evening of fine dining and theatre, along with a
jam-packed tour of Door County.
In April I will accompany Heritage Club members on our firstever European tour. We will spend eleven magical days cruising
on the Rhine River, traveling from Holland‟s windmill-studded
fields to Germany‟s historical cities and fairy-tale castles. We
will finally end our journey touring the sights of Paris.
After a long winter it‟s fun to have something to look forward to;
our snowbird friends coming home, the newness and awakening
of spring, and a full calendar of fun things to do with your
Heritage Club friends. So step out into spring and join us.
I hope to see you soon,
Sue
REMINDER!
