Fall is here…the coast is clear!
Time is changing… getting darker
when it’s 5 o’clocker … We have so
much going on, looking forward to
our new event on Oct 25th this will be
a new kind of celebration one for phun
and for helping out our Heros our
Wounded Warriors who gave so much
for all of us. A Halloween Party none to
compare with Zoombies dancing
everywhere. To celebrating the season
with Octoberfest!!! I still get a kick out
of all the little ones dressing up to give
us all a smile when they say “Trick or
Treat”… hope we give a real treat to our
Warriors with donations from Silent
Auction, so bring your friends to our
event and don’t forget to say…

The Spy Glass Presents
“The
Accoustix”
They are Brian Smith and Dallas Griffin. Together they have been entertaining
people all over the southeast United Stated for the last 20 years. Dallas on electric
and acoustic guitar and Brian on electric and upright bass, they combine
instrumental prowess with sweet harmony vocals to make music that is a treat to
both hear and see. They play songs from Jimmy Buffett, James Taylor, Jim Croce
and the Eagles to Motown favorites and good ol' classic rock. It’s guaranteed you’ll
hear tunes you know and love.

This Month’s Charity
Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) began when several veterans and friends, moved by stories of the first
wounded service members returning home
from Afghanistan and Iraq, took action to help
others in need. What started as a program to
provide comfort items to wounded service
members has grown into a complete
rehabilitative effort to assist warriors as they
recover and transition back to civilian life.
Wounded Warrior Project is a nonprofit
organization whose stated mission is to "honor
and empower wounded warriors" of the United States Armed Forces with a vision to "foster the most successful,
well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history". The Wounded Warrior Project
(WWP) works to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of severely injured service men and
women, to help severely injured service members aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct
programs and services to meet their needs.

The Tail End
One day a man went to an auction. There, he found an exotic parrot. He
really wanted this bird, so he got caught up in the bidding. He kept
bidding, but kept getting outbid, so he went higher and higher and
higher.
Finally, after bidding much more than he had intended, he finally won.
The bird was his! As he was paying for the parrot, he said to the
auctioneer, "I sure hope this parrot isn't defective. I'd hate to pay this
much money only to find out that he can't talk!"
"Of course he can talk," said the auctioneer. "Who do you think kept
bidding against you?"
