M EANDERING B LACKWORK
FREEBIE DESIGN FROM
STITCHIN’SPIRATION
Meander along this blackwork labyrinth and simply enjoy. Start out either in the center, or anywhere along the paths. They all tie together, and you’ll end up right where
you started. Just enjoy the journey of this piece!
Blackwork is historically done in black thread. But in today’s world where we have the
full range of colors, as well as the hand-dyed and variegated threads, there are countless possibilities for your project.
Do your blackwork piece in all 1 thread, or use multiple colors for the various parts of
it - that’s your own choice! Customize it with color as you wish. Play with variegated
thread, following along the paths, and see how the color flows.
Most importantly—just play with your fabric and thread, and enjoy the journey!
