The procedure includes running the New Data Source Wizard, running the Initialize Business Server Wizard, and finally checking the existence of the main service in Services. 1. Introduction 2. Introduction This guide shows you how to set up a server data source. The procedure includes running the New Data Source Wizard, running the Initialize Business Server Wizard, and finally checking the existence of the main service in Services. Setting Up a Server Data Source 2 2. Open Agresso Management Console Click the Start button. Click All Programs. Click UNIT4 Agresso Milestone 4. Setting Up a Server Data Source 3 Click Agresso Management Console. Setting Up a Server Data Source 4 3. Specify settings for the data source Click Backoffice data sources. Click New. Click Next. Setting Up a Server Data Source 5 Enter a unique name for the data source. This is the name that will display in Agresso Management Console, and the last part of the name of your main service displayed in Services.msc. Click Next. Select the database type you are using. You have two options: Microsoft SQL Server Oracle In this example Microsoft SQL Server is selected. Click Next. Setting Up a Server Data Source 6 4. Specify more settings for the data source Enter the machine name or IP address of the database server. Enter the name of the DB in SQL Server Management Studio. Enter the name of the DB owner created in SQL Server Management Studio. Setting Up a Server Data Source 7 Enter the password of the DB owner created in SQL Server Management Studio. Test your database by clicking Test. It is important that the test is successful. Click OK. Setting Up a Server Data Source 8 Click Next. Click Finish. Setting Up a Server Data Source 9 5. Start the Initialize Business Server wizard Enter User name og Password and click Log in. Expand node agr570. Expand node Features. Setting Up a Server Data Source 10 Click Business Server. Right-click Business Server and select Initialize Business Server. Setting Up a Server Data Source 11 6. Complete the Initialize Business Server wizard Click Next in the Initialize Business Server Environment Wizard. Verify and change if desired folder for binary files; core programs and assemblies. Click Next. Verify and change if desired folder for Data files root folder; location of your report results, server logging, and import and export folders. Click Next. Setting Up a Server Data Source 12 Selec connection information for native database connection. Select an existing or create a new ODBC data source. Click Next. Select user account for the service to log on to. Should be a domain user that is local administrator on the Agresso Server. Click Next. Specify startup mode for the service. Normally set to automatic. Click Next. Setting Up a Server Data Source 13 Click Finish. 7.
