The Chamber would like to introduce you to the 33 participants in this year’s Leadership Lincoln program.
We’d like to give you an opportunity to learn a little more about some of the members of this year’s class. Below
are four participants and in subsequent issues of this newsletter, we’ll profile the remainder of the group.
Spencer Nebel is the City Manager for the City of Newport. The City Manager is the
administrative head of the City government, and is appointed by the Mayor and City
Council. As the top appointed official in the City of Newport, Spencer is typically
responsible for most, if not all of the day-to-day administrative operations of the City.
Hui Rodomsky is the Associate Planner for the Lincoln County Department of Planning &
Development in Newport. What Hui likes best about her job is working on local land use issues
on the Central Oregon Coast. Hui joined Leadership Lincoln to gain a better understanding of the
Lincoln County community. When Hui is not working, she enjoys visiting Lincoln County’s
natural resources with her husband.
Robert Taylor is the owner of Creative Landscape & Maintenance in Newport. While at work,
Robert enjoys the ability to transform a landscape into areas that are more useful and pleasing to
the eye as outdoor living spaces. Robert joined Leadership Lincoln to network with other people
who are in leadership roles, while he improves his own leadership skills. When Robert is not
working, he likes fishing, hunting, auctions and woodwork.

the morning of May 1st. The Embarcadero Resort & Marina offers
a Million Dollar view of the fabulous Yaquina Bay. The property,
located on Newport’s Bayfront

restaurant with delectable cuisine at
their Waterfront Grille, a private
marina with floating crab dock,

pool, private saunas and two
outdoor saltwater hot tubs.
The Embarcadero offers sixty wellappointed guest rooms ranging from

fireplaces and fully equipped kitchens. The other 198 units are privately owned. For more information,

On the morning of May 8th, the Team of Ambassadors visited the
News-Times Team. We all know of the importance of a local
newspaper and what it brings to our community with news, sports,
entertainment, editorials and of
course advertising. The News-Times
is a leader in publishing timely,
accurate content that is delivered to
subscribers doors twice a week and of
course available in many retail outlets
throughout Lincoln County. What
some may not be aware of is that
News-Times Publisher Jamie Rand
and his accomplished staff also
market, create and publish multiple
specialty publications that aid in
enticing visitors from all over the
world, including many tourism pieces
for the Newport Chamber such as
their Newport Visitor's Guide and the
Travel Newport magazine.
